Mrs SD, that is organised making your Christmas cake in February. I thought that they are usually made in September or October. I will probably now make it earlier. Yes, it should be a getting out of lock down celebration cake.
Today I have been busy in the kitchen. I have baked:
2 blueberry pies
3 black currant pies
3 black currant and apple crumbles
1 batch of fruit scones
1 batch of cheese scones
1 large fruit cake
As a result, my baking cupboard is a little emptier - used up currants, cherries, sr flour, plain flour. All the fruit was grown in my garden, so 4 tubs of fruit gone from the freezer.
Other recycling:
unwanted mail
milk bottle

Offered to both my DDs and they queried where they would ever wear it . Nice jumper so hopefully someone will like and wear it774 mixing bowl broken - DD2 did the washing up (I do have enough others).11

Not sure my numbers, but done a few bits in the last few days
4 bits of DD's toys (will only count as one)
1 hurricane garden lamp given to the neighbour
1 box that had a patio set in (now built in the garden)
Lots of other bits to go through over the next few weeks. I am still avoiding the loft and garage!

Tuesday & Wednesday we’re both gloriously sunny days but oh so chilly in the shade & with a bitter wind 🙁 DH & I did a bit of gardening both days - planted out a few more potatoes & started some seeds - chard, radishes, wild rocket, parsnips & chives. The lettuces are definitely sprouting. DH went to sm on Tuesday - managed to get everything except flour. I finished scarf no.37. Wednesday DH emptied & hoovered out the bird food garden box - the mice love it in there so rather smelly 🤢. I finished reading the the 3rd & last of th cs books - quite hard work but at least I now know that I am not a fan of Dan Deaver’s writing style 🙁 I also did some mending - 3 pairs of socks & 3 pairs of knickers.Tuesday we had penne with hm bolognese sauce & Wednesday was chicken fried in butter, boiled potatoes & garden peas.
The last of the hm bolognese sauce has been put in a dish with a tin of peas & topped with mashed potatoes, slices of tomato & grated cheese - Thursday’s dinner.Thursday is another sunny day 🥳 but chilly. The bin men have just arrived - rather impressed as only one day later than usual after missing 2 days due to the Easter holiday 👏732 - 737 Two newspapers, cardboard packaging, kitchen recycling, plastic bottle, drinks cans - Recycled
738 - 740 Bag of kitchen detritus x 2, plastic packaging - Binned
741 Book into cs bag
Great work villagelife 👏Nicnak, it sounds like the barricades are up & the clutter will be fought off 😆
Good work nannywindow - root free 👏 I imagine the various CS will be inundated with donations when the lockdown is lifted. So my plan is to buy a few books & make a donation. What brilliant ideas - Siebrie 👏 & 2nd_Time_Lucky 👏
Good work EnergyShifter 👏
Great work short_bird 👏 Curious minds (aka me the nosey c*w 😂) would like to know how many rubber duckies & how long you have been collecting?Good luck Roxie 🤞 I know we are all behind you & wagging our fingers at your hubby 😉Wow sherri01 👏 you have been busy 👏 A word of caution when burning the photos, the fumes are toxic 🤢 - ask me how I know 😞
Brilliant work TC77 👏 I especially like the corralling of storage containers/baskets 😉You forgot to invite me round to share the risotto 😉 Re the jumper - not decadent at all just a ‘youthful indiscretion’ 😉 😆Gem-gem, unfortunately that organisational skill was many moons ago 😞 Mind you, I would definitely make it earlier - then you will have a boozier Christmas cake 😆😉
All that baking 👏 🤤 & so envious about all the hg fruit - I will be around later for the party 🥳 - how about choc chip biccies, cherry & coconut loaf, rock cakes, coconut biccies, cheese biccies & chocolate cake 😉 + maybe a focaccia 😉 I can only dream 🤣Great work Marpau 👏Good work Nicnak 👏 Re the loft & garage - out of sight, out of mind 😉
See you later - I might even do something ............ anything 😆😉

Only decluttering I've done for the last couple of days, is a load of washing done, dried outside and put away each day, hoovered all through, painted 2 stone planters and potted on the cucumber and tomato plants.
This afternoon I'm aiming to plant some runner and broad bean seed's.

Mrs _S_D Only 8 rubber duckies... actually, it might be 12 because I believe I may still have some devil duckie Xmas tree decorations. Some in the collection are 15 years old, it's not a major thing that I have to buy every one I see‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

It costs very little to make. If you want a pizza base sauce use: tomato purée, water to help make it easier to spread (equal quantities to purée) and then dried oregano (make the sauce in advance). Pizza is always a chance for me to have a veggie day. We always top our own pizzas. Hubby always has his cheese free.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Hello declutterers! I have an ongoing decluttering battle, but have never posted. Counting items I think would depress me entirely! However I have a question I'm hoping one of you will know the answer to! How do I get rid of kitchen knives? I have FAR too many- partly because I dont know what to do with them. Charity shops wont take them (i asked), it seems "dangerous" to put them in the bin, so what do i do? I did wonder about wrapping them in bubble wrap to bin them but still seems like a risky thing to do. Some of them are proper carving knife or bread knife type things which are still pretty sharp! Sorry to jump onto your thread with this, but if noone here knows I think I'm stuck with a drawer full of knives I dont use forever!8

Thursday was sunny until about 5 p.m. when we had a couple of short showers & it clouded over. DH had set up his Go-Pro overnight pointed at the ground feeder - we had 3 yes THREE little visitors - mice are so cute when they are not in the house 😉 - very entertaining watching them decimate a fat ball. Another day of knitting, AB2, watching TV - I am officially a Sloth 🦥
Dinner was the last of the bolognese sauce made into a cottage pie with half a bag of mixed vegetables from the freezer - 🤤

Well done boultdj 👏 - remember we all have to pace ourselves 😉Short_bird, I hope your duckies get a swim in the sink every now & again 🤣Very organised Gem-gem 👏 Surely a pizza is not a pizza without cheese 🙄 or is your hubby lactose intolerant?
Hello facethemusic 👋 the only solution I found to get rid of kitchen knives was to take them to the local Tip & place in the metals container. Hope we see you again 🙂 - there are several other declutterers who do not count items so you would not be alone. They post when a room or set of drawers or a cupboard has been sorted or cleared. We are a very supportive bunch 🙂 and we do love to see new faces 👏
