Some more done
627 an old hanging basket which was beyond saving.
628 a broken coat hanger
629 another moisturiser sample finished.
630 a dead Bay tree in a pot has - finally- been removed.
631 an Olive tree has been planted in the garden and the broken pot it was in has been broken up and used for crocks.
I think that is about all at the moment.

Is it all in one room which you don't need to go in? If so, don't. You pushing him (however gently) to sort it will likely only make him dig his heels in more. Marie Kondo says we cannot do other people's things - and I think that's true. I've seen (and heard many tales of ) other halves suddenly clicking that their stuff needs sorting when everywhere else is clear and tidy- it's a clutter lightbulb moment, if you will - they see the benefits of it everywhere else

Hi all, back again!

Whilst sorting through stuff I have found about £20 worth of unused stamps... yay! Other decluttering as folows:

1883 - handbag to CS bag

1884 - pack of dried out wipes binned

1885 - bit from old game binned

1886 - dried out vaporiser pad binned

1887 - old pencil binned

1888 - hard rubber binned

1889 - old membership card binned

1890 - 93 - wooden name letters to CS bag

1894 - part of a jewellery box binned

1895 - old pen binned

1896 - toilet roll inside recycled

1897- 1898 - old suncream binned, bottles recycled

1899 - after sun bottle emptied and recycled

1900 - 1901 - old hair product binned, bottles recycled

1902 - old membership card binned.

That's it for the sorting out I did yesterday evening, hopefully I will get some more sorted today.

In awe of Chocolate drinker and Nicnak's huge numbers and inspired, updating regularly so I don't forgot.

Found a top for one of my topless fountain pens (inherited from DD with no lids)

753 maltesers and rubbish from under sofa

754 - 756  top, publication and clip on light CS

Wool was in a v large basket (with odd mixture of other things) which I've now put the cushions for garden chair and put wool in large plastic box which can put lid on. Random bits either put away or awaiting a home to be found!

Only decluttering I'm doing today is sad looking leeks and potatoes into soup. It's gone cold again which makes me want soup.

Thanks. I have never really tackled it so had a lot to go through and that's why there are big numbers. I still have a loft and garage to go through, but after that, I won't have much at all and next year, I'd struggle to get to 500! x

Had an incredibly productive day.  Spent the morning catching up with admin & the afternoon tidying around the garden ( my garden storage look positively spacious now.  Even had time for a nice walk to finish the day!

Finally completed the trade with two website book buyers. 43 in total. £33
They are being picked up on Wednesday.
Still have 90 books - unread in the cupboard. That should keep me quiet during the lockdown!
Recycled a wad of paper and an envelope. Was pleased, found a new glue stick that was in good condition in the cupboard.

Mrs SD, I am trialing making a Christmas cake but we will have it in the summer. If all goes well I will then make one for Christmas. 

Made Rogan Josh curry with left over lamb and carrots, included red lentils to bulk it out.

Monday has been a mixed day - started cloudy & cool, sun came out but a chilly wind & then gradually got colder & colder 🙁  Lazy day all round - AB2, knitting, reading & watching TV BUT took a day off coronavirus news - recorded but deleted without watching
Dinner was ALL the los from Sunday + newly roasted potatoes & mixed vegetables from freezer.

Great work Roxie 👏 but a shame about the spare room 🙁 Re your DH’s man cave - a controlled burn? No, no - only joking 🙃 unfortunately he has to come aboard the ‘Decluttering Bandwagon’ in his own time (as per greent - hopefully he will have a lightbulb 💡 moment), meanwhile make sure his door is closed so that you cannot see inside 😉

Yippee Gem-gem - money in the bank 🙂 Christmas cake in July, maybe it will be a celebration of the lockdown ending 😉  I used to make 3 Christmas cakes a year in about February & top up with alcohol (monthly) until the end of November 😱 . One was for me & DH, one for my DM & DF & one as a raffle prize for the bakeathons I used to organise when I was working.
