This afternoon I have sorted through my baking cupboard. So 2 toothpick pots into one and the empty one binned. Also binned an empty baking case pot and 2 half full icing sugar boxes, the contents of the latter have been decanted into a kilner jar ( where they was supposed to be
) 2 half bags of flour also decanted, bags binned. I made a "waste not cake" to use up some turned milk, it's absolutely delicious and I think that will be decluttered very quickly
Nicnak I don't think I would contemplate visiting the tip even if it was opened.Villagelife I agree about things going out and not coming in, that's a plus of lockdown I suppose. Never thought I'd see myself saying that.Happy deluttering all, even if it's something small. Hope everyone is well and stays that way.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10 -
Well I did get the runner beans and peas set, also did some French beans, broad beans, radish, beetroot, spring onions and lettuce, and then spent all day yesterday in bed as felt like I'd been hit by a truck, felt familiar looked at my throat and yes it's white, tonserlitus for the first time in 15 years.£71.93/ £180.0011

Facethemusic, we are also trying to declutter and move, and the easiest way I found is to declutter as you pack - you might start sorting winter clothes and declutter any that don't fit any more. I find getting started is the hardest part, but once you've started releasing items it becomes easier.
Having said that, my decluttering efforts are not going well at the moment, although I have sorted through the living room and chucked a load of takeaway menus, old receipts etc.11 -

Worked all week so no opportunity to do much other than that. I did a very, very full day on Weds and felt "jet-lagged" for the next couple of days. Also all the sitting made my sciatica play up and I'm still pretty uncomfortable. My neighbour is a yoga teacher and has given me some exercises to try. I find walking really helpful but the relief is short-lived.

289. Made my own face mask from an old T.shirt & some nice white cotton (no idea how effective it is but it looks lovely - material has butterflies on it!)

I’ve been MIA for a bit having completely lost my declutter mojo for a while 😢 no CSs and no tip has meant that I was totally without enthusiasm. Then I had a brainwave.... we got a skip!! It came on Tuesday and in between working both in the workplace (me a couple of times a week) and from home (both of us several days a week) we have half filled it and have sorted the garage (yay). We’ve now got purloined kitchen cupboards waiting to go up for the painting and decorating stuff / tools / camping gear designated to live in the garage.I’ve stopped counting ‘items’ because I had started to enjoy the feeling of space that clearing the clutter was bringing (and I’ve lost count so many times!!). When I start the next layer I will count again but my goal now is to be 10 minutes from tidy by the end of the summer at all times (with the hope that we always have 10 minutes TO tidy 😂😂).
We are living in very strange times and I was starting to feel really down that we had the extra time (no commute for starters) and weren’t going to have any achievement to show for it.I should warn you that I’m pretty sure skip companies have ramped their prices but hey - that’s the free market for you.
Stay safe

Brussels sprout plants arrived this morning, our local family run garden centre is doing online orders and deliveries. The owner was telling me that they can't get the usual supply of plants as their suppliers have all be supplying the farmers first, just in case of troubles with getting vegetables / fruit etc from abroad, so more is being grown in the UK. So once the farmers have what they want the rest comes to the garden centres.
Was well happy because I was told that a strip would have approximately 10 plants and when mine arrived it had 16 plugs in there. They have now been potted up and under up-turned see through plastic containers, that came from my Dad's, upcycling fatball for birds tubs into cloches. So now the slugs and pigeons cannot get their mouths or beaks on them.
Used up: Bag of compost; bag of crisps
Tidied up the corner in living room that I sit by. Books taken upstairs. Mail that has been finished with shredded and recycled
