4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUE
Managed 5 hours of sleep. Overcast again today & still cold. Indoor plants have been watered, hm soup on to warm, post sorted. DSis is in the bath probably trying to get warm 😉 DH is reading about the Donald’s latest ignorant comments regarding hospital face masks - apparently there is no reason why more are being ordered wt* According to him they are being stolen 😡 I am not sure there is a suitable word for the man? as using the normal words available would be doing a disservice to the cr*t*ns & m*r*ns of the world 🤣
Mind you it keeps us amused but I do feel sorry for the American public ☹️Not sure what today’s job/s will be - should really clean/scrub the oven but atm I CBA’d 😞
662 - 663 Plastic tub, magazine - Recycled
664 Plastic packaging - Binned
Stellata, are you in the group that wakes up & has to get up straightaway? or could you spend 15 mins meditating - not a lie in as such but maybe the start of waking up a little later? The current situation does make it rather difficult to stay positive, so now more than ever we have to find the pleasures that don’t need money or social contact - so far today mine has been watching a robin having a bath 🙂
🥳 villagelife - you are ahead of the curve 👏 well on target for your 2020 in 2020
Welcome back oceanspirit 👋 nice to see you. How is the new diet going?I looked back & saw that you last posted on page 130, 6th March. In order to catch up - you can get rid of 10 items per day until the 31st May, then back to 6 items a day until the end of the year. How can you possibly think that I don’t want to make a start on my To Do list 😉😂Greent, I like your observation that you have not done much 😂 You are way ahead on your numbers - 900 👏 Technically you are at the 29th May 😉 & well on your way to your 2nd gold star 🙂
Stay safe & well

Hello all, had a real wobble today over DH's meds, as they run out tomorrow. Anyway his meds are now sorted but mine are missing at the moment. Hey ho mine are not life threatening, his are.On the decluttering front, not much is happening here, but on a positive note very little is being wasted, so hardly anything in the recycling box or food waste box. I too spend all day doing nothing lately except working out unusual recipes for the food that we have........... fish fingers and jam pie anyone ?Take care everyone. Please stay safe.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11

Hoping to encourage my 15 year old to do some decluttering and may motivate me to tackle things that are quite hard - I feel I don't want to get rid of anything and yet know I'm overwhelmed. Does look tidier and I do have some empty drawers and shelves but not good at organising. watched buried alive - if they can clear whole apartments in a few days then my house should only take a matter of hours639 - 643 Flask, spare cups and lids to CSWill update if get more done tonight!12

OK, I've set up the filing trays the ex offloaded the other week: Project Paperwork starts tomorrow!‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

EnergyShifter said:249. pack of cell batteries for watches I no longer own.
250. Found my weights, step & pedometer - so now have my own little mini gym!
A reasonably productive day off! I was a bit aimless though and just started to randomly do vaguely productive things. Went for a nice brisk walk - wasn't the most scenic route but I listened to a fantastic podcast while I was walking. Made a list when I got back and realised that although there are lots of things I could do this week - there are 3 things (in addition to self-care) that are priorities 1. record a session for my accreditation. 2. Prep for an assessment 3. Make a decision about work - I have the option to extend my notice by 3 months which might not be a bad idea given the circumstances). These all require some brain power which was sadly lacking today !! It'd be nice to get one of them done tomorrow.
Total for today:
251. sink mat - fairly new but horribly discoloured from tomato based sauces
252. re-potted geraniums in window box
253. Scraped off spectacular moss formations from front path
254. Bodge job fix of guttering - a lovely kind friend is posting me more substantial tape which should keep me going
255. Cleaned gutter

4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUEMonday was overcast, cold & showery all day 🙁 I went through all the ‘aspirational’ recipes I had cut out of magazines & newspapers & binned over half of them.
Dinner was chicken fried in butter & fresh carrots with mashed potato for DSis & mashed parsnip & sweet potato for DH & I - 😋 Hm Rhubarb & Apple crumble with custard
665 - 666 Uu custard powder pit, 1” paper recipes - Recycled667 Bag of kitchen detritus - Binned
Glad the meds were sorted nannywindow 🙂🙂 - hopefully yours will be sorted tomorrow. Isn’t that a sweet & sour menu 😆
TC77, The problem with Buried Alive is that they have at least half a dozen people clearing the house & that is all they do. You should be very proud of your decluttering successes so far 👏Good luck with Project Paperwork, short_bird 👏
Well done EnergyShifter 👏 still keeping clutter moving out 👏
Keep safe & well everyone

We've been out this morning. Went to the doctors for our prescriptions. They had a strange system where you go in and give your name, then move outside, a nurse then brings the prescription to the vestibule, puts them down and shouts you to pick them up. We then went to Eggs to Apples - the veg shop - bought our produce and came home.
It seems odd - none of this affects us, until our day out. Then it feels like we're in a different world - a bit twilight zone ish. We'll have a picnic lunch and leave the carer to sort Shirley out. It gives DH a break from being constantly aware of his mum. Last week we sat on an area where the greenhouse had been - we can't her MIL if she shouts so we don't usually get to sit there.
I decluttered my dressing table, tidied things away and threw a lot of stuff. I took a look ar DHs but decided it was such a mess that he can do it himself - he has a fort and lots of lead figures that he painted on it.

Encouraged DD to tidy her room with a promise of Netflix. Room tidied and 5 things binned, 4 in CS bag and one in wash to go in CS. Will count as a lot of effort encouraging. Watched Netflix together tonight. Have looked out the stack of paints and crafts for another evening so will be used up (glad I kept them).644 - 653 - DDs belongings.11

4. DAY TO DAY DECLUTTERING WILL CONTINUEHad a rather good Tuesday 😉. Got up at 9:00 a.m to blazing sunshine ☀️ Emptied & sorted 3 of 4 shelves in my food cupboard. Decanted rice into 2 person portions (thank heavens for 0.25L Kilner jars 😉) Listed contents & was happy to discover I have 14 bags of pasta of different varieties 🥳 Bit short on passata & tomato purée though 🙁
Also discovered I have about 3kg of bread flour - so no excuses not to bake own bread 😞 - I do have plenty of dried yeast even if it is slightly ood 🙁
Lunch was a bacon sandwich for DSis & fried egg rolls for DH & I.Slightly concerned about one of my neighbours as I didn’t see him on Monday but saw him Tuesday & had a short chat. He is wfh & now that the kinks have been ironed out he was busy 😌
Finally got around to writing a menu plan for the next 2 weeks 😉
Dinner was lo cottage pie + sweetcorn & the last of the carrots for DH & DSis. I had tuna & sweetcorn pasta with a stir through sauce - 🤤 Enough lo to have it baked for Wednesday.
668 - 672 Magazine, kitchen recycling, newspaper, large plastic pot, small glass jar - Recycled
673 Coffee tin filled with kitchen detritus - Binned
Good work ailz95 👏 & excellent decision to let DH sort his own dressing table 😉
The amount of encouragement/bribery needed means you should have probably counted twice, TC77 😂
Keep safe everyone

Up early again, thanks Mrs SD I looked up about meditation and it's on my list of things to try. No work at all now till Monday, it's a good thing I'm not spending!
i decluttered a few boxes into the bin and sorted half a dozen things out of my wardrobe into the charity shop box, but without getting them out of the house it's a bit uninspiring really. I got a supermarket delivery slot though in 3 weeks time so that's a relief. Just very lonely.Magnolia Stellata10
