A small amount done
584-585 various bits of packaging that were in the cupboard.
586 an old funnel
587 old stained pot
588-589 old rags thrown away.
Hopefully more later and tomorrow to achieve 600 before the weekend is up.10 -
Somehow my 'always having a good stock in' is no longer seen as a bad thing. I'm trying to buy things from small online stores, rather than big supermarkets - a lot of the small stores are really struggling. Delivery may be a week or two, but I can wait. It also keeps the 'van men' employed - so many get paid per parcel - as I always do most of my shopping online I think I keep one or two in business lol!
I'm trying to do more walking. Our drive is for 3 houses - the big house (though it has 2 drives), the cottage and at the end us. It's about 200 yards. Today I managed from us to the big house gates - about 150 yards and back again. I'll keep on trying. For the last 10 years I've walked around the house, but have used a wheelchair outside - by the end of the lock in I'm hoping to do it all more than once a day - or once without hanging on to DH. I have to say it's not very different than our 'normal' life - our 6 hours a week out stays, but we'll picnic in the garden rather than going out - well we'll go to the farm shop and then come home.
We're very lucky where we live - MIL's house - it's a farm, off the beaten track. Not really our sort of place - we prefer towns - but we've been able to offer extra hours to our gardener - she's immune compromised too - and we can carry on without getting near one another. We've also told friends with young children they can bring them for a run around. Other than Ma's carers we see no-one.

I think it was short-bird who is knitting squares for charity? I'm keen to do this but can't find details of which charities accept them and the size and knitting needles to use etc. If anyone can help that would be good. Good afternoon everyone,
Non working day today. So decided to try and declutter the baked on grease from the oven. The shelving has come up well but Next time I am going to leave it on the oven overnight.Decluttered hubby's lap tray. I am one happy bunny that this has gone into the bin.Have also been washing down the cupboards, top of the fridge, kick-boards and small appliances. Finally, descaled the kettle.Recycled: unwanted mail.
Lamb chops, roasties and home grown parsnips in oven. Home grown runner beans and leeks on the stove.Going to chill out tonight. Start a new book. Finished one yesterday - on a pile ready to go to my aunts, when I next see her.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

1907 - crocodile game from DD
1908 - Mr Frost snowman maker (huge waste of time and money).
1909- 1915 - paperwork that I have gone through and put in the bin.
Bin men are due on Tuesday (if they make it) so I plan on putting as much as I can do in Monday night to get rid of it all. x

Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x9 -
My decluttering is now on hold, as other than a bit of paperwork, with the tip, the charity shops and freegle all being closed, I don't really have any way to get rid of stuff at the moment, and I feel it's better off staying put for now rather than having lots of bags sitting all over the place waiting for a home.
I will carry on cheering all your efforts from the sidelines.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.12 -
If anyone comes across safety goggles in their decluttering, consider donating to your local GP surgery/community nursing team. I've just heard that a local GP has bought up all the goggles in Wickes while they wait for disposable ones to be provided, and the local distillery is making them hand gel. I'm worried there will be a gin shortage.

Another sunny day but oh so cold in the shade & a bitterly cold 🥶 wind. One short chat with a neighbour & received a drawing from his younger son - Pizza Man knitting 🤣
Have had an exceedingly lazy day - knitting, AB2 & watching TV. Never quite got around to making the crumble ‘hangs head in shame’ 😞
Lunch - DH had the lo cheesy pasta with the last of the grated Parmesan sprinkled on top + a bit of water - covered in foil & heated in oven. DSis had buttered toast with a few slices of cheese (anyone would think she never had an heart attack 😱) & I had a soft roll with a soft cheese & chutney filling.Dinner was pork medallions in a mushroom & Marsala sauce, fresh broccoli, mashed potatoes for DSis & sweet potato, parsnip & carrot mash for DH & I - 🤤 😋
The broccoli stalks have been finely sliced for soup & I have taken various bits & bobs from freezer & fridge + the lo mushroom & Marsala sauce & put in pan. Will add chicken stock & cook tomorrow. I ‘promise’ to make the crumble tomorrow 😉

590 some bubblewrap that was starting to disintegrate.
591 an old stained towel binned. Too poor a condition to take to RSPCA.
592 A box to DH work - he went in to sort stuff out. He works alone. It has been sitting in my hall way for a while. Perhaps he may move the rest of the stuff at some point!!7
