I haven't been on here for a while but I have been steadily making my way through my moisturiser stash. I can't remember if I said this on here but I counted up and I had 25 moisturisers dotted around the house! Ridiculous.
It is because they are in small jars that I wasn't aware how many I had.
I have used some up as body lotion, some as foot cream and put two by the front door so I remember to use it every time I go out. I put one scented lotion in my handbag. I still have 18 of them left!
I am going to go through my pyjama drawer today and see what needs getting rid of too.
It feels quite Springlike today so a good day for some Spring decluttering. It is going to be horrible weather this weekend, though.

1. DO NOT PUT OFF TO TOMORROW WHAT CAN/SHOULD BE DONE TODAY2. WRITE AND USE “TO DO LISTS”
3. LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
4. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
5. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S?
Thursday was a miserable dark & wet day ☹️ I did nothing apart from pottering & a bit of paperwork & ‘made’ dinner - baked beans on toast for DSis & cheesey beans on toast for DH & I - needed after roast dinners 2 nights running 😆 DH was busy in the garage repairing a portion of the handrail from the banister & DSis did her washing then drying in the td ☹️ In between spending the day watching N*tfl*x in her rearranged bedroom. She now has a new narrow storage cabinet & I have a bedside cabinet to donate to CS 👏
Friday has started out dry, bright & sunny but breezy. The 3 of us were supposed to be going to The Motorbike Show at the O2 but I woke up feeling like I had been run over by a steamroller 🤕 & the cold has set in leaving me headachey & shivery - yah boo sucks 😒 but every cloud has a silver lining see below 🤭
So DH & DSis have gone off together - DSis has been making noises about doing her CBT (compulsory bike training) - I really don’t envy my DH ☹️I have put the wm on & am snuggled up on the sofa.

Today lots of gunk from the grill pan.... yuk ! My fault for leaving it toooo blummin long between cleans
. Also recycled some cardboard boxes for items that DH kept just in case they went wrong and had to be sent back. ( We no longer had some of the items either
) and a bath sponge binned ( but was replaced )
Happy decluttering allnan
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12 -
I seem to have spent most of today decluttering - definitely starting to notice a real difference now though!Started this morning with some tidying in the bedroom which lead to various items making their way to rubbish/shredding. A well past it’s best boot bag and a pair of knackered wellies have gone to the bin, and three old dressing gowns from the back of the door have gone to the CS bag (2 of them) and one to the washing basket as it needs a wash before it can also go to the CS. The bedroom door now opens back fully for the first time in YEARS - and I now realise how much it’s been annoying me that it wouldn’t open fully previously! Also in there:
a few more makeup items > bin
a couple of very old toiletry items from the stash > bin
some more toiletry items from the stash that were still good but I won’t use > CS bag
some jewellery items that I’ll no longer wear > CS bag
Some jewellery items that are well past it > bin
moved on to the spare room again - have sorted some stuff for MrEH to check - old software CD’s etc - and a load more paperwork has gone to either the shredder or the bin.Sorted through 3 drawers and have amalgamated the contents into just two. Put a load of old photos into an album that has free space. Found two old Filofaxes that I have stripped - some stuff for keeping, some for shredding, and the rest and the folders themselves have been binned.Lots more general tidying all over the place too - another full black sack has gone to the bin and the next has been started, and I have created another 2 CS bags today as well - aiming to get those out of the house tomorrow morning! It’s all feeling SO much clearer! 👏🏻👏🏻Have a fab decluttery weekend everyone - the weather certainly lends itself to staying in and making space!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
