Even if the VM/Clydesdale processing system appears to allow additional applications there's always the danger that VM/Clydesdale will withdraw or downgrade the product if it's abused. I posted a week or so ago about the phone call my partner received after she made an additional application - Clydesdale didn't seem too happy about it.

I decided to go for a 2nd account yesterday. Started application & got the 'You look familiar' message. Went ahead and 2nd account was opened very smoothly, appearing immediately in app. I transferred the interest from 1st account, then small amount from external account. Both appeared in cleared balance immediately. Then topped up to £1k from external account. Again, appeared in cleared balance.
However, Transactions screen is still showing no transactions yet.
I decided to 'use' my 1st VM current account. Tried to add debit card to my Barclaycard app (as that's a quick hit). Despite green ticks against every entry, 'Confirm' button stayed greyed out. Could be a Barclaycard issue, though I've had no problems adding other debit cards.
Then tried to add Barclaycard as a payee in VM app. Wouldn't search for Barclaycard under 'Company' - error msg 'Search unavailable, try later or enter details manually' and when I entered details manually under 'Company' it just reverted to the same error msg
Finally got it to accept details under 'Person'.
I'm fully expecting my account to be blocked now for having the audacity to actually use it!
PS to those asserting only 1 sole & 1 joint account allowed, could you please point to that statement in the T&Cs?

Hi,Regards The Virgin Money account, 2 weeks ago I opened a new account. Hooray. I have just tried to transfer money into it from my FD account, on doing so my FD account informs me that payee does not offer this facility. Is this correct? Account useless if you cannot transfer into it. Spoke to VM, don,t seem to have much idea, waiting for a call back.0

I transferred money from my HSBC a few weeks ago, went through ok. First Direct are a pain at the moment I gave up making a payment to Principality from them last week as their new checking payee system did not recognise the Account"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

I have just sent money from FD to Virgin, using the FD app. There was no payee check.
