It's stories like this that put me off opening a second Virgin account. I hope you didnt have much deposited in the account.

I did get an letter a few weeks back saying they thought my application was fraudulent (done by someone else with my details) but I called their fraud team at the time - to confirm the account was legitimate - who said my account had then been unblocked..
If it hasn’t, perhaps that’s why my attempts to get a second account have resulted in no response from Virgin (not even a decline) - despite them carrying out hard credit checks each time
I hope like @surreysaver you get it sorted soon.

I did deposit £1k, but the money was returned to the originating accounts within three days with no communication from them. So it would seem they haven't got a clue what they are doing, or perhaps they are overwhelmed like they were with the £250 switching bonus a couple of years agoischris85 said:surreysaver said:I'm still waiting for the clowns to unblock my account. I can't - I get a message saying "No account capable of making payments or transfers"typistretired said:You have to add a payee

If the account is blocked then you cannot add a payee or transfer to an existing payee. I know because my account is also blocked. At least I can login and see the interest has been paid.1

With several accounts, only one VM current, for some reason last week my entire external Payee list was duplicated. I then deleted one duplicate set of about 10 so it was back to normal.
Logged in again and no payees listed at all.
So set up just a couple of payees to test.Next log in duplicated again.0 -
They keep surprising us in the wrong sort of way, don't they.
Though you might be special - they're not duplicating my payees. Not yet, anyway.2 -
Just added a new payee and can’t believe how easy it was"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

I opened this account three weeks ago, and has been blocked since. Just got a text notifying me I've got a low balance! Maybe their systems are slowly beginning to grind into action?I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0
