Plenty of miles left, a long runnerI can see that this thread still has a lot of miles left in it.

Remember this?:
I got shot down by the ChromeBook fan, and hubb said it was too expensive, so after an extra bit of reflection I bought it, as to me it looked like a bargin. To be honest it was too expensive with extra £8-ish p&p. So I made an offer that was rejected, but I excepted a kind counter offer of £20 off the asking price.this is nice, wont last long.
HP 15-DW0012NA less than £260

The next post here will either ask for help, now that I have been ripped off, or will say what a great laptop it is

For a bit of a lark, I offered £200 on that laptop. My offer was turned down straight away, with no counter offer. That’s hardly surprising as you were apparently offering more than me. It looks like a great buy, and I hope you get some good use out of it.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Ha Ha, offered the exact same as you - £200 tooFor a bit of a lark, I offered £200 on that laptop. My offer was turned down straight away, with no counter offer. As I said, he counter offered. I was not quick off the mark, think he may have felt after receiving a second or more offers at £200, that it was more realistic price? My max value in my head with p&p was under £250 - something about £250 that makes me feel my wallet is empty, compared to 249.990 -
Sounds like a Chromebook would be perfecr for her needs and you'll be able to get a new one with dceent performance for the money.
I suggested a Chromebook on the 12th December and that response got nowhere!
Suggest they wait for the January sales in order to keep this post running for a few more weeks and keep us all amused.0 -

Rightly so...
If perhaps the budget was £50, one might recommend a second hand Chromebook.
I can see no reason for the recommendation of a Chromebook over what has been suggested here in the form of Windows laptops.0 -
Have you thought of a 7" tablet?0

Keep up Roddy, tablet (even a 10" under £ 150 brand new one) has already been rejected.
....but do keep on posting on this 'thread to nowhere". It is a bit like programming a circular reference........0 -

Obviously my joke fell flat. How about a 10" tablet then. If you hold it close it looks like a 14" laptop.0 -
Truth be told, a 10 inch tablet for £200 will be a lot nicer than a £200 laptop.0
