If they have made a mistake in the listing, they can arrange to pick it up and give you a full refund or swap it for the correct model or equivalent.
Why make a mountain out of a molehill?
Because I am a born worrier. But all modern laptops have wifi enabled, and if not, it can be made doable with a dongle. I looked up the machine on John Lewis website and it has great reviews. Thanks again for your input.0 -

You say has a laptop "for now", are you expecting it to be problematic ? :eek:0 -

Just check the specs when you get it. 98%+ of people are happy with the seller, so your chances are very good. But if WiFi doesn't work, send it back. No dongles, it's not 2006 anymore!!
anciereBECAUSE very few people have pointed out that you can't have a good laptop for £200
Plenty of people have, and the OP has heard them, but not upped the budget. So we're looking for the best we can do for £200. You're in, or you're out, and you're just de-railing the thread. Talking about USB-C and editing 4K videos isn't going to get us anywhere, that's not what this £200 computer is gonna do.
EveryWhere has actually recommended a laptop on budget, and it has been bought.
EveryWhere - RE TN, IPS screens - you mention them in loads of threads. There are advantages and disadvantages to both, and whilst I'm glad you point it out to people, most don't know which they're looking at right now, I guess. Viewing angle, colour accuracy, speed, it's all a compromise. I just wasn't sure it was that relevant in this thread, or in many you mention it in, as if it's a deal breaker. No biggie!0 -

I expect they may have some specification wrong, as I told you earlier. You are too nervous. Calm down. They are a reputable company who will do the right thing, whatever it may be.
They obviously cannot keep up with updating the details on their listing. So mistakes are made.
No drama necessary. If the specs are different, ask them for something with the right specs or better.. Stop freaking out over everything.
If you let tiny things like this completely faze you, how will you cope with everyday life?

Ok, but What have you seen that they have posted that is wrong ?0 -

The key is to get the best for the money and the most suitable device for the job.
For the OP's mum, IPS would be better than TN. Since, as far as I know, no gaming will be taking place on the laptop.
Screens are just one aspect of this. Also another thing never mentioned here is Pulse Width Modulation.
Whilst I also take this into account when I can, I never mention it, as I have no desire to blind anyone with science.

Well back to the drawing board as I just got a nice email from the seller: :(
Thank you very much for your order with us!
I am very sorry to report but there has unfortunately been an issue with our cross-platform stock system which has duplicated some products on our store and I'm afraid we do not have the item you ordered available currently.0 -

They've outdone themselves this time.
Seriously, that is the kind of thing that affects their feedback.
Just be patient.0 -
