Argh! I'm so cross! I spent ages yesterday making pattern pieces for the dress I'm making for madam for xmas. I've been awake for a while but couldn't find one of the pieces (one piece of paper with several folds for various pieces) Just found it in the bin! Oh has cut it out and used it to make snow angels for the elf! Am posting here rather than going to wake him up and ball him out!DF as at 30/12/16

So that's now out of my system (not really!) I can get on with my day.... Have been awake since 4.47...
[STRIKE]* re-measure and cut out fabric template[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* cut out fabric[/STRIKE] and start sewing when madam goes out for the day at 12
* load of washing
* wipe out fridge
* take dog for walk (s) today is our last day with him for a week
* all meals from stores
* wrap xmas presents. 2 are going today as madam will be seeing her aunt and cousin. This is the person I made a baby change bag for. Hope she likes it....
* xmas activity for the day is learning the song "12 days of Christmas"
* I have about an hour of paid work to do so I might get on and do that while oh is watching football, depending on how long I stick with the dress - my anger is now dispersing
* I might make a loaf of bread for the freezer to stop this crazy running out of bread constantly!
Ok that's me. Hope you all have a great dayDF as at 30/12/16

Morning all, I've also been awake for ages, and had lots of early mornings this week which is not like me at all, so I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of sleep!!
I've got a long list of bits and pieces to do this morning before going out with the girls for a festive catch up this afternoon. I'm hoping to sort the conservatory out a bit more too, (the only room big enough to accommodate emergency chairs and table!) as it's where we will all have Christmas dinner and it's the only room not decorated yet.
But first it's time for a coffee...mortgage £800 overpayment 2022. £600/£2400 2023 🙂 savings £1853/£1800 😊0 -
Hi December Devotees,
Mornin'. Busy day ahead. My mind is a big ball of mush.Thanks for the love folks. Feeling a bit better now, had a nice afternoon and we've still got a match to enjoy tonight.
DW....oh noooooo.

* Return library books before being fined. Borrowed guidebooks for our whirlwind last-min trip to Dublin last weekend.
* Continue my Challenge 500 miles challenge to travel 500 miles for free before the end of 2019: walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running and swimming. I'm up to 488/500.
* YS sausage for breakfast.
* Going to a park where Kingfishers have been spotted. Free entry. We saw one!
* Bought a few YS food things in Asda yesterday.
* I need to post a parcel to the US. I bought it in Sept.....bit of a frog....Done.
* Went up into loft to retrieve Decemberfest decorations. DW is an atheist and I'm something-other-than-Christian so we do things our way this time of year. We have a 12 inch YS tree I bought last year, a reindeer and some homemade pine cone decorations I made a few years ago. That'll do us, we'll put them up later.
* Got 6% off our ice hockey tickets for tonight through my work's loyalty scheme.

Morning all
Supposed to be at a family thing today at DS's (won't be seeing our two older kids at actual Christmas, for the first time ever) but instead I am waiting in for the plumber. Hopefully I will get there later. It is very nice of him to offer to come out on a Saturday, though we are managing fine without the boiler, thanks to our woodstove and a handy electric shower in the spare room, and it could have waited till next week. It will probably have to, doubt if the boiler will be fixed today. It is only in recent years we have had gas central heating, and is not in our natures to be reliant on one centralised resource if we have the option.
Keeping busy (keeping my mind off both the election results and the upcoming large plumber's bill :rotfl:)
Folded dry washing from airer - still need to put it away as it is on the bed atm!
Made a big bowl of coleslaw for OH to take - that is what they asked for as a contribution. I will take some wine as well.
Wrapped presents for OH to take - no need for us both to wait in for the plumber, he can hopefully come back to pick me up later. It isn't too far. Can't take both vehicles as parking is a pain where DS lives.
Packed some jugs that a friend who will also be at DS's wants to buy. Must remember to apologise for them being wrapped in the Daily M*il :rotfl::rotfl:I don't buy newspapers (especially that one!) preferring to read the news online, but ask around for them, and ask if I see someone about to recycle some. I use them for wrapping breakable sales items for storage and taking to my sales unit, ebay packaging etc
Anyway, coffee finished, better get on and do a bit more before the plumber turns up.0 -
Gosh how often is one forced to buy a marshmellow shooter - and I thought I was doing well not buying any tat for Christmas ... but then ds and secret santa for sports club! Hopefully at least it will be fun!
Everything seems to take a very long time am half way through sorting out Christmas tickets and have been at it for 2 hours, but have also made dinner and had lovely conversation with dear mum in the mean time.
So not NSD today, bought some vegetables on market but thought everything was a bit dear and not very nice looking. But I got some fennel am looking forwards to that.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Morning all. Dawn hope both the boiler turned up and you managed to get to your family gathering.
CLF hope you’re ok.

Quick vacuum through
Get something out of freezer for tea
Wrap some presents if I have time/energy later
Triage fridge
Finalise a Christmas food shopping list
Double check I have all the presents we need on my list and a couple of early January birthday ones
Have a good day everyone. Purps.0 -
Hi everyone,
I’ve been awol this week as my grandad diedHis funeral is up north next week so this week has turned out to be my last at work this year. Mr Pea is staying at home to look after the pooch and I didn’t want to leave him without a car (or drive for 5 hours on my own with the bump) so I’m getting the train. £150 return :eek: I could have split the ticket and saved £20 but my brain is like mush at the moment and I couldn’t be bothered working out the various tickets and seat reservations I needed (I don’t book through the ticket splitting site as they charge commission. I usually make a note of the various tickets and book through a site that doesn’t charge booking fees and I can pick the seats so I don’t have to change seats every stop). I have to change at Birmingham so will be travelling light. I had to use the reimbursement we got from our housing association so that was lucky we got it this month. Going tomorrow and coming back on Friday so I hope it’s not too busy!
The week has been a pretty frugal one. I’m also not sleeping (woke up at 3am on Friday and made the mistake of following the election results). Slept better last night though.
Today isn’t a NSD as we need to do a little food shop for Mr Pea. He has also bought some storage boxes he’s picking up today so we can sort out the bedroom cupboard and move some things into it from the spare room ready for bump. I have a bin bag of stuff to go to charity.
We went to our antenatal class at the hospital yesterday. It was all stuff to do with after the birth (feeding etc.). The midwife had a wonderful knitted and stuffed woolly boob she kept dropping on the floor :rotfl:
I need to iron and clean the bathroom today. Hopefully Mr Pea will hoover. Also need to pack my bag for tomorrow and post a Christmas card (I have stamps).02 0% £719.20 £649.26

So sorry for your loss Princess_Pea
It is so hard, and seems even harder at this time of the year. Safe journey, and love to you and your family xx
Thanks Purple Fairy, the boiler man did turn up (he is lovely, a friend of my youngest, and he wouldn't not turn up when he said). It is the pump that has gone and he can fix it. Now waiting for the part. Keeping warm in the meantime with cosy stove
Got to the family gathering ok, my eldest GS came to pick me up :heartsmil
Been to a boot sale / market this morning. Bought butter, cheese, bacon (much cheaper than any of the supermarkets, and from a really good trustworthy trader whom I often buy from), some little wooden Christmas tree decorations and a few items to sell on.
OH informs me that the logs he ordered are being delivered this morning, so wheeling and carrying them up to the log store will take a bit of time this morning. Oh well, it is all exercise. Got to pop out to pick something up first though.
No plans for any further spending today, all food will be from home0
