£937.84 saved for October, form updated.
I've beat my £10k target (!), so increased it to £11k. I know Christmas is coming but I'm going to be optimistic and hopeful that I'll achieve it before the end of the yearSave £12k in 2022 = £3705.97/ £7,500 (49%)

Number #52 declaring £4973.07 for October (these are actually my savings for July-October), form updated. Went off the boil savings-wise for a few months due to house spends and a couple of mini breaks in the UK. However, I have continued to add to my regular savers and received a tax rebate from HMRC last month. Probably won't meet my target with Xmas coming up, but never mind.
Thank you Slowly for running this challenge!Save £12K in 2020 #52 £11625.33/£12,0001 -
Reporting £949.15 for October. This month we've had the expense of unblocking drains - lovely. And the dog was under the knife at the vets. The car's annual MOT and service. Signing up for a mindfulness course - to try to stay sane during these unusual and worrying times. And a rare trip out to a cafe during a weekend away in Scotland. So taken together, that's put a dint in the savings for this month.
We're off to Devon now for a cosy week away from everything - I haven't had a proper break from work since February, so I'm looking forward to it!Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.2 -
#48 declaring £200 for October. Will definitely be doing next year's challenge, as it is a great motivator to save as much as I can.

Nothing major to announce other than OH and myself bought a car! Cost an arm & a leg but its nice to (what feels like) finally putting your hard earnt savings towards something tangible that you can feel proud of. We (okay mainly me!) put a lot of research into which car to get, especially since this was our first big purchase together (I currently own the flat we live in, we plan to buy together when we decide to move up the ladder).
I stopped my AVCs because as part of my company being acquired I will be moving to the new company's benefits system sometime next year which includes better DC pension terms (hooray!), effectively the employer matched contributions is better and there is no age restrictions as per my current (soon to be old) pension arrangements. Once I move onto the new pension system I shall be setting my contribution accordingly to yield the best employer contribution, I'll be able to get the same overall contribution rate in the new system but it will cost me a lot less as the company will pay a lot of it which is good news.
No new S&S ISA contributions, however I am very much enjoying watching the dividends being re-invested particularly in my UK holdings. Snowball effect and all that!
I also launched my own financial wellbeing website, welcome any users on here to check it out and I hope you will enjoy reading my content;https://www.amorge.co.uk/
Nothing major to report, just continue to shuffle savings around to run away from rates dropping everywhere!"If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett
