Number 26 declaring £1,441 this month into the regular savers etc.
First time we've done this challenge and can honestly say it's helping us to stay disciplined.
I like doing a few football coupons at the weekend. Thinking of banking half the winnings into an unused current account and adding the monthly sum to this.0 -
Hi,
#40 here.
I've submitted my first ever form. £481.15 saved in January. I am happy with that. It was nearly a bit more, but I bought a summer festival ticket last minute, following a great line up announcement.
I think this thread helps my motivation, for example it seemed to be the only reason I didn't get a takeaway one evening.
Well done and keep going everybody.0 -
#6 updating with £981.27 for January. Form submitted.
Haven’t been able to save as much as I would have liked in January, but am happy with what I have been able to do so far.0 -
#21 declaring £429.94 for January!
Paid down a deposit for a holiday later this year so number is a bit lower than normal as expected. Solid start for the year but definitely room for improvement in the coming months!"If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

Hi all,
a good start made by many, must be the season!
Mine, #19, reporting £1212.46 for January, a good start thus far, long may it continueSave 12k in 2020 #19 £12,429.06/£14,0001 -
So I always pay a set amount into my savings at the beginning of the month (HTB ISA, Reg saver etc) to get myself into a good start - paying myself first.
This morning I have been doing some math, and worked out that the money I have left up until payday after my upcoming direct debits and bills have been paid, leaves me with an average of £26.35 per day to live on  - way to much for me as I'm only responsible for myself (and the cat)!
So have decided to pay myself upfront again, which means that currently for February I'm on a total saved of £549.63
I've also decided that whatever money I have left over unspent at the end of each week will go into savings, which *fingers crossed* will mean I'll beat last months total a whole week before the end of the month.
Feeling pretty :A right now haha

Glad you're making a flying start to the year Delta! February is usually a good month for me too - it's a short one, the Christmas credit card has been paid and it's a 'free' council tax month:)
