Hello everyone. #48 reporting £467 for January.3

Hi all
In stark contrast to the great savings I've just read through, I've had a pretty mixed start to the year! This started with us buying my engagement ring (not actually engaged yet so hold your congratulations!) - I contributed half, so my savings took a massive hit. Then again, it was only on 4th Jan, so I'm counting it as having come out of last year's savings... And I've just bought the boy a new suit for a job interview, and had a nearly £1k MOT/service(!!!), which will both definitely hit this year's savings.
So, I think I'm on £465 for January and likely to be £125 (emergency fund contribution only) for February. But I'll check the maths and submit the form later on - on the mobile right now

I don't like the new forum so it'll take a bit of getting used to. Meh.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

A few unexpected bills like x-rays and consultant may have dented this months savings, I'll just have to be extra careful between now and the end of the month.4

Asked to work overtime Monday. That will add £55 to savings. Taking Mrs D out tomorrow. That won't help!

Ok, I'm in front of the computer now so I can officially report my January savings as £503
I've signed up to the 2020 mortgage-free wannabes challenge this year so I'll be reporting our overpayments separately.
(Sorry SF, I submitted a lower amount earlier but I forgot to include the compensation we got from our previous internet provider because they overcharged us!)
Very jealous of all the positive numbers being reported for February - it seems like this month has set out to drain our coffers!3 -
I Just got a 10% payrise at work so this year is really going well so far.
I think im going to hit my 12K target by april at this rate.
I will carry on submitting what's getting squirrelled away into my savings accounts and may dip into them later in the year with my trip to America but im really aiming to have a closing balance on 31st December 2020 of at least 12K
