I am going to include sharesave savings through work (from gross pay), interest accrued, cashback from purchases, payments for surveys, selling bits on ebay as well as my usual monthly savings.

Hello slowlyfading,

I have found the 2019 thread very useful, thank you for its organisation. I went off the boil during the summer but the motivation of reporting on the threat enabled me to end the year strongly.

I'll try for £10k in 2020. This is a stretch target for me because I will be funding a child at university.

What do people count? AVC for pensions? Savings you intend to spend in the same year (big holiday etc)? Interest/account bonus? TIA x

Please sign me up for 2020. I will try for £5,000 in 2020 and I will include all additions to our capital savings (so interest, dividends and loyalty payments, and anything we sell. As a non-working person this is quite different to previous years.

Similar to Suffolk lass, this time I shall include savings made from my gross pay (which I haven't done previously) and see how I get on!

Please sign me up for 2020, but this year it will only be a target of £6K, as my wife is probably going to have dental implants cost over £5K in the New Year, so no way I will save the same as this year. Even £6K will be tough.
