Hi there, long time lurker signing up to take part in the challenge for 2020.

My target is £14,000, which is equal to my annual living expenses for 2019. It is ambitious for me, but I will be aiming to use the money to rebuild my emergency fund and as investments towards early retirement. Thanks!

    Edit:

I’ll be counting any money that I save in current accounts, easy access and regular savers + any interest/rewards arising from these accounts. I’ll also be counting cash deposits into S&S ISAs, LISAs and SIPPs, and any bonuses/tax relief arising from these deposits.

I won’t be counting any contributions into my DB pension, or any investment growth/loss inside ISAs, LISAs or SIPPs.

  • Hi there, another lurker finally planning to take the plunge and join in 2020.

I'll aim for 12k please. I've started a new contract at work and things will be little tighter than in previous years so could do with motivation to avoid frittering away my money.

I'd like to join! Bought a house recently and would like to get my savings back over 10k! So my target will just be £4200 which gets me exactly to 10k!
  • I’m in again to (hopefully) save £12000. Thanks for keeping the challenge going and such a great inspiration for saving.
  • Hey guys! long time no see, didn't update regularly at all last year, ended up buying a car to replace my old one and then we ended up redoing our kitchen! (much needed!!) But from saving from the previous challenges meant that this could all be paid for straight away and now im ready to start building up the savings again! Can't wait to get back into it properly. £6k target for me please!

  • Me again please!

Smashed my 2019 target, as we hit saving much harder than I expected! :rotfl:

Going for a target of £10k. We are hoping to buy a house next year so this will hopefully be a combination towards deposit, and work required with hopefully some mortgage over payments too! Would also like to increase our emergency fund too.
Total savings 2018- £7450 (includes Lisa bonus)
