Is there any proof of this yet? I sent my claim to the old northampton address last Tuesday and have not heard anything back yet. The tracking at Royal Mail has no information yet either. You can send it to either address. The redemption office has moved from Northampton to Staffordshire0 -
I sent my redemption claims to Northampton 3 weeks ago. I had the 3 cheques last week in envelopes marked Phones4U.
Make sure you check the claim schedule you were given when you took out the contract to what they have online as your claim schedule. They changed my online schedule twice for all 3 contracts. I then sent both possible bills, though I knew the last bill met my original claim schedule, with a covering note showing how they had moved the claim dates. Do not give them any reason to knock you back.

It is a bit funny that a recovery agent is already chasing me. However, Orange has confirmed in writing that I was leaving. I had also written to Orange informing that I would stop using the mobile phone. I guess that is enough notice that I was withdrawing myself from the contract.
I have now written to the financial ombudsman to investigate this issue. Alongside this, I also called the recovery agent and told the company about the complaint to the ombudsman.
Will keep posting further progress.0 -
Sorry to drag up an old thread!
The administration process for CoolNewMobile and PhoneBoxDirect has finished. In their final report, Mazars who were handling the administration state that 'it is anticipated that a small dividend may be paid to unsecured, non preferential creditors' (ie customers)
The administration ended in October 2008, although as a customer of PhoneBoxDirect, registered as a claimant, I have not heard anything.
I know it will only be a fraction of what I am owed, but how do I go about getting some money back?0
