Three of those companies are no more. Another is looking very dodgy. One has been taken over (as you pointed out) and the other one is the only game in town apart from the other one you mentioned but failed to list - but watch your step!0

Anyone had any luck with Simply 3G and recouping the cash back from their liquidators? 3 offered me precisely **** all £150 cashback if I extended my contract by another 3 months. As my monthly terms are £35 a month that means I still have to fork out another 2 months on a rubbish contract, after the rest of the current 12 months have elapsed. It seems bonkers. 3 have been terrible on the phone, avoided answering questions and each time came back saying this was the best they could offer.
Yes their call centre is in India (really useful I think not).
I vow never to use their company ever again after the way I have been dealt with on the phone. Please heed this advice and goto someone like T-Mobile or Vodafone who helped my brother out massively in a similar predicament.0 -
I have been badly stung by Mobile Outlet and wish to join any action being takenI don't believe that the mobile Network Operators have no responsibility or liability in the cashback scams. 1. The Retailers are Agents of the Network Operators and the Agency-Principal laws apply here. 2. The Network Operators despite their lame denials are fully aware of the activities of their Agents who are selling thousands of contracts daily due to the cashbacks they offer. 3. Most Network Operators like 3 have terms to cancel the contracts if tariffs are increased, a non payment of cashback is an effectual increase in tariffs.
If there is anyone ready to join me in testing in British Courts this claim that Mobile Network Operators are not liable on cashback contracts, please reply here. A class action suit will be instituted in Britain and let the courts pronounce on this cashback matter as it relates to the responsibility of the Mobile Network Providers. This will provide a judicial backing to this scam that has affected thousands of lives in the UK.

Hi,
I've just taken out a Dialaphone contract, and have noticed an anomaly with the Redemption address.
On the website, the address is somewhere in Northampton. However the address in the paperwork they send you when you get the phone, it is in Staffordshire.
I spoke with someone on Friday, and they said they weren't sure and would phone me back, but so far no phone call.
Does anyone know exactly which is the right address to use?
Is this done on purpose, as a tactic to prevent us from making a successful claim?
Many thanks
p.s. I know I've still got a few months to go, but better to be organised!0 -
I successfully claimed my first cashback from dialaphone a couple of months ago and the address I used was the Northampton one.
Since then phones4u have bought dialaphone and I have noticed that p4u give " Lymedale Business Park
Newcastle-under-Lyme
Staffordshire"
as their customer services address so am wondering if they they are in the midst of a changeover.
I have no idea what this means for you or me when it comes to sending cashbacksbut I am going to stick with the addy given with my paperwork.
I hope it is nothing sinister but with mobile phone companies their bad rep has been earned the hard way(for us consumers)0 -
I sent an email about the address 4 days ago but have not yet got a reply. However, their website has changed the redemption address to match the one given in the vouchers so maybe they took heed of my email

I am filing a case against Orange for 2 busted contracts. One with mobilephonesontheweb & one with themobileoutlet.
I believe I stand a strong chance as in both cases I had called up Orange and informed that I was canceling the direct debit. I then received a standard "sorry you are leaving" letter for both contracts. However, I was still being billed and now a recovery agency is threatening to take me to court.
I've instead decided to take Orange to court myself and see what the local court thinks about this issue. The findings of Birmingham Standards will be used in my case.
any suggestions will be appreciated.0 -
If Birmingham Standards feel Orange are responsible, why are they not instigating proceedings?0

You can send it to either address. The redemption office has moved from Northampton to Staffordshire0 -

Cancelling the direct debit doesn't cancel the contract. If you didn't cancel the contract they would keep billing you.
Sort it out with the recovery agency quickly or it will just escalate, as they will start to add their charges as well as any court costs to the outstanding amount you owe. You will end up with a ccj against you, no credit rating and difficulty getting anything on credit (from a phone to a house) for years to come.0
