bd80s said:Aww thanks guys, I was worried people would criticise my decision on that but as you say @EchoB this could go on for a while and animal welfare does need to be considered.
I always think that any one who is able to work for or run an animal charity are amazing and one day I would like to be someone who can do that, you two are both great supporting that equine charity, when this is done I will look for it and see if I can do a small donation to them (as standard I do donate to the PDS*)Debt free Feb 2021 🎉2 -
@Drawingaline I have always given to animal charities and it really upset me when I had to reduce it because of the state I was in financially, so my goal is definitely to get back to giving a bigger sum than I can at the moment.
Well well well, another Monday morning and surprisingly that week of working from home/staying at home as much as possible went relatively quickly, don't know if anyone else thinks the same?
Weekend wasn't really that difference for me as I spend so much time at home anyway, didn't get/want to take the horse for a long ride but did take him for a stroll around the lanes but won't be doing anything over exciting to limit any risk of coming off.
Nothing money wise to report at the moment but did manage to get 2 lbs off so happier this week as its down again ….so close to the 2 stone!
Have bundled myself to work from home and one of the moggies is curled up on his chair next to me most put out that I am home and in his space …...
Have a nice day everyone

Happy Friday all, treat yourselves and spend the day in a different room to normal
Anyone else like me and the more time they are spending in the house the more work you want to do......
Slight nuisance this week in that I got told the bedding I use for the horse will not be coming into the country for the next few months at least, now I had enough to see me through till they are out for the summer but I then had to think what if, what if he has to come in for any reason, what if this goes on longer than anticipated and so forth. As my friends are my suppliers and had let me know that they only had a few pallets left so I had to take the opportunity and buy another bulk load of bedding, not in budget for this month but is in budget for the year so would have needed to be bought at some point anyway, still a pain though
Otherwise my week has been relatively steady, yard, work, yard, relax. I'm trying to stick to the routine that I would normally have including my working hours to make this as easy as possible, I know i'm lucky in that I don't have kids under my feet! I have spent a little bit of time adding up what I have paid against debts since September (when I started tracking everything) and including paying off my overdraft this pay day I have paid off £4045it's surprising how quickly it all adds up and annoying when I think what I could have done with that money...…..but hey ho onwards we go.
I'd like to be able to say I have massive plans this weekend but that would be lyingwill be the same as every other day but instead of laptop working I will be out in the garden/cleaning woo hoo!

That's some achievement with the debt payoff!
Totally understand re the bedding. I know quite a few people struggling to get cat litter and food.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉2 -
Well done on the debt busting! I think now is an excellent time to talk to the owner of the horse about the bedding, and how it has to last until .... October?..... so can she please use it wisely and sparingly.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.592

WOW! That is some achievement on the debt payments, I think the natural reaction when you realise how much paid on debt could have gone somewhere else, I have had that feeling a few times lately. The progress you are making is brilliant keep going and keep safe2

Well done, that’s great progress :-)
Annoying about having to buy more bedding, but better to have it than to have none and need it. Hopefully it will even out over the year.
I’ve got a wild weekend planned! Laundry, cleaning the spare room (which I ignore usually) and tidying up the garden 😂
hope you manage to have a nice relaxing ride at some point :-)2 -
Aww thank you all for your comments
it is shock when you add up how much you've paid since you started focusing on it!
The bedding was a nuisance but it wont go off so its just an early expense....and luckily the owner doesn't want to travel down to the horse at the moment so he's all mine and nothing will be wastedIn fairness to her she did offer to pay me to do her two mornings a week but I couldn't take the money off her, as much as some things she does annoy me I think she does mean well but I know that if things get tight I can always ask her to pay for extra things (not that it should, budget is working!).
I think you win on thrilling weekends @EchoBI didn't do anything more exiting, although the yard owner is going to burning a load of old wood that was around the yard and I managed to sneak up some of my garden rubbish hehe, well the tip isn't going to be open for a while and its only old fencing and stuff...……..
My little blind cat is loving how sunny its been and has been snoozing outside all day and my little tom is not happy I am at home interrupting his day time sleeping …….he is currently glaring at me because I have to work at the table where he sleeps on one of the chairs....at least he hasn't bitten or scratched me yet (one of his favourite things to do!!).
Did manage to spend some time relaxing with the horse, i'm not prepared to go out riding anywhere too far, not because I don't trust the horse but because I don't trust drivers, I don't want to take the risk and we have some single track lanes with dodgy corners to go anywhere fun or lengthy and I don't feel its worth risking an accident at this time and straining an already stretched health service. I did do some ground work play with him on Saturday and had a little stroll around the farm track yesterday, i'm just taking the time to spend more time playing with him (although he does need to do some work otherwise he will get to podgy)
Went to a different l*dl this weekend to my normal one (which has been a bit of a nightmare with all the panic buyers and forced me into more T*sco shopping which was expensive) and it was great, nice, organised, limited numbers allowed in and had everything that was needed, this will become my new standard shop as it was a relaxed time rather than a stressful one
Weight wise a pound and a half off, would have liked more but any downwards movement is good, hoping to have a cheat/celebration meal this weekend just to give myself a little break.....must avoid buying any easter eggs and scoffing the lot though, come on will power you are needed
Well I suppose work is calling me......and diary catchups….but first another coffee, have a nice week all

Your weight loss is brilliant! Putting my efforts to shame. Although tee past two years I have struggled to lose any, that middle age spread is no lie!Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3

Luckily found a diet that works (one that doesn't mean I have to eat salad and vegetables only haha).
Remember its not middle age spread......its cushioning in case you fall
