    Evening all :)
Lazy day today, but all food from home, and I made a start on Christmas prep by getting hold of grand daughters' Christmas lists and ordering gifts online. Also found plenty of Christmas cards left from last year in a trunk upstairs, so that is one thing that I won't have to buy :)
    Still on NSD 3 / 15.

  • School fair here today as well, as I knew there would be spending involved I ordered a couple more gifts on-line, so gift shopping almost finished, but still in 3/15 NSDs and there will be spends involved both days at the weekend. Already suspect 15 is an impossible task this month. Never mind if the total spends stay in track that's more important.
Had my festive candles lit again tonight, so the house smells amazing!

    Hi all,

Can I come back please? I’ve missed you all :)

I’m in the middle of having an extension, have had no kitchen for a month, no access to the garden for the dogs fir 2 months and school is crazy. I just need to make it through 9 more school days and then I can hibernate and go at a slower pace!

Budgets are out the window due to the renovation so I’m just holding out hope that it’s not too over budget and then I’ll sort myself out when I know what’s going on.

Glad ofsted have gone now apple so excited for WSM, did you see BSM the other week?

Mothernerd you sounds as busy as ever, hope you’re looking after yourself?

Misstara Please can I tag along this month?

Ccl How are you? Your school sounds just like mine sometimes!

Well, the school fair only set me back £10 this year. Awful lot of cake stalls and not much else really, as half the books on the book stall were donated by me:rotfl: and there were a lot of wrapped things or 'things in bottle bags' to win - no idea what they were! It seems I am risk averse after all. Anyway, the school will have made money - they did over £1k last year, and it is a very small school!:T:T So I will count that as my charity donation (as well as the Orangutans and Animal A1d and foodbank)
Inventory of cupboards done, menu planned, and shopping list written. I am going hardcore this week. I have been asking what foods themselves want in for Cmouse. I will be home so they can have all the soups and stews and cheap filling stuff their little hearts desire. Still have half a freezer drawer full of pastry which will appear in various guises - sweet mice pie, savory mice pie, pasties, cheese and potato pie, 'leftover stew? - it's a pie!' pie, Turkish leek pastries. You get my drift.

Still on NSD1 but came in £30 under budget this first week.

  • I'm good thanks FMess - very tired, and I still have 10 school days to do
Another nsd in the bag for me today - I woke up before 6am today with a banging headache (carrying on from yesterday). The plus side is that I will save money by not being well enough to go out to my work Christmas party tonight - not that my introverted mind wanted to anyway.
The plan was to nap but I haven't - I've wrapped some presents up and done a bit of crochet. Every time I've been close to sleeping something has disturbed me. I'm just staying hydrated and resting with the kids and some cheesy Christmas films. Never mind - I still have another weekend to worry about it all.
Will also definitely get another nsd today as I have no desire to leave the house, or be online for too long.

Booked a table for the 3 of us at our favourite Italian on NYE, will be home by 9pm and in bed well before midnight :rotfl:

Very merry Christmas - Finished DH stocking and bought DSD gift. Still need some bits to finish DM and DSD stockings and then I am done.

Exercise - does 3 hours shopping count?

    Fun - nothing specific today

Understand what motivates you - I want to half our debt next year. I want more financial security and to have more options around our stressful jobs. I also have a few small jobs to do around the house and a garden makeover to do next spring!

Foodbank/charity donation - waiting for the second DD to go through, Crisis donation done.
Eat well - again didn't eat much because of my cold. Just want it to go away now!
    Savings/debt repayment - done.
Treat yourself - sat and read two horsey magazines that came through the post this week. For some reason I felt guilty for just sitting and enjoying a read, but I persisted and carried on! I sometimes struggle to sit and relax and feel like I should be doing something 'productive'.
Invitations - not accepted any more.
Very merry Christmas - put the decorations and the tree up today. Finished it and then found out the lights have stopped working! They worked a few days ago as I use them around the house, so I've asked OH to check the fuse. If it's not that then I think I'll buy some more but it'll have to wait until next weekend.
Exercise - cancelled my gym class when I woke up as still feeling rough. Did go for a walk for about an hour but it didn't feel much like exercise, I was fighting my way through the mud most of the time.

Fun - reading my magazines was nice to do, as well as putting up the tree despite the dodgy lights.
Understand what motivates you - already done.
NSDs - Aim for 15 NSDs. Still on 4/15, needed some emergency medication to put in my aquarium as I have a poorly frog. Hoping it arrives in time. Also bought some primer paint as I want to paint the kitchen cabinets over the Christmas break.
