You have to give yourself the best advantage you can. The PPC's will have photo's taken to the best advantage usually when the car park is empty.

Some have been known to alter information. You are not dealing with John Lewis or Marks and Spencer. These are very nasty people (ex- clampers) who treat their employees badly and have a large staff turnover. You need to be able to call them out.

On the positive side this forum has been very successful against this company.

Great, but don't let this slide - I am glad you are back now because we NEED YOU!

Please now make a real difference - A TASK FOR SEPTEMBER.

The Government is (this month only) consulting about a new statutory code of practice (CoP) and framework to rein in the rogue parking firms.  Read and comment on the draft CoP proposal and the enforcement framework consultation, and get everyone you know to do the same.

You will need to register to comment on the CoP and enter an occupation even if you are retired or a homemaker, but otherwise it is easy to navigate, and comment upon each section/subsection individually. You can save comments to edit later and or submit comments once you are happy with them.

    https://standardsdevelopment.bsigroup.com/projects/2020-00193#/section

You do not need to register to comment on the enforcement framework which can be found here. It has a link on page 5 to make comments.

At the very least, we say the parking charge level should be £50/£25 or higher level £70/£35, as per Council PCNs in E&W.

And we say the added fake 'debt recovery' costs are just double counting the cost of letters, and MUST GO because that is unfair and illegal.

Please be heard.  You can bet the hundreds of PPCs will be commenting.

No apologies for repeating this vital 'call for action' to consumers, on every thread this month!

Watch out CM, TWC  will accuses you of spamming.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • I have received the WS from Excel/Elms. In their defence for the additional cost they are referring to the case of Britannia Parking vs Semark-Jullien

Did you ever receive letters from DRP or Zenith?

No, not as far as I am aware anyway.
What does that mean in terms of this?

Yes, and our latest example WS, linked in the NEWBIES thread post #2, covers that.

These are debt collection agents that are engaged by Excel and VCS. There was evidence on their web page that they operated on a no collection, no fee basis even though Excel/VCS were adding on the charge for £60.00 as debt collection fees. DRP/Zenith have now removed this from their web page but several posters (including myself) have a copy of this if you should require it.

Madam Snake ..... these debt collectors are so stupid, they don't understand the power of the internet and a keyboard to save ..... the fact is that anyone with low intelligence can set up a website.
The likes of Excel and VCS will be in dire straights   and with the next 6 months looking bleak they could actually go bust.  SRS loves airports but in the grand scheme of things, all airlines will dictate what happens to him next .....  SRS is only small fry and he will have to bow down to what covid brings next
