My pc has been having a funny 5 mins this afternoon. Which means I have had to work rather than chat here!

Still got rather a lot done. Had a lovely egg salad for lunch and I haven't spent anything :T go me!!

Ordered a couple of Pigsback voucher so that is another £20 towards Christmas. Which makes £25 of Boots vouchers and £20 left in my christmas savings account. Now Mum likes the Simple skincare range, so I will get her some of that in a stocking, OH's Mum can have something from Boots and then it is just OH to find something for. I know what he wants (some black and White cityscape prints) So I will shop around for them. I was going to use the vouchers as a treat for myself, but that's not to be this time round.

But it will take some of the stress of my £94.45! :rotfl:

Without wanting to hijack the thread (just need to vent a little) - I'm having a very low, demotivated day - found out yesterday that a work colleague has stabbed me in the back (looong story) and it's all to do with my depression and the fact that she thinks it isn't real. I get a very strong impression that she thinks I'm putting it on/skiving. Grrrrr!!
Sorry all - but I feel better just for having typed that out!
I really thought I just hit rock bottom. But today, it's like there's rock bottom, 50 feet of crap, then me. (Friends)

    Evening!

It's my first time on here during the evening in ages!

But I am currently trying to list some things on Ebay, but it takes ages on a dial-up connection... ah broadband!

Still I thought I would pop on and say hi!

Had a reasonably good day, Mum cooked me dinner which is really nice, so just doing a few things before I sit down and watch some mindless TV.

    Take care x

    hi

mind if I join on here?

Not really sure what's going on with me at the moment! Seem to be swinging about with moods really wildly actually and it's getting rather frustrating!

Nice to hear that others have been there and worked through it.

    Hi Sea!

I know it's nice to know we are not alone isn't it. Hope your feeling ok, Do you have any idea what has caused you to feel this low?

I know mine seems to come out of no where! Which isn't very helpful when it comes to solving the problem.

    Take care hun x

    :)

No, seems to swing wildly at the moment, but a tiny part of me keeps thinking that perhaps I'm making it happen, that perhaps I'm causing it, or in someway making it happen...I think people's views about attention seeking business is ingrained. I don't know. I feel like it's all a bit unreal, if I'm making any sense at all?

I had a really low point a for a couple of weeks, then felt much better and now seem to be up and down like a yo-yo. I'm on meds for depression so dread to think what I'd be like without them!

People have said to me that I'm too young to be on prozac and going through all this etc but it doesn't help!

I know, why do people think that age has something to do with it? A few people have said to me your 25 what have you got to be depressed about! But it's not something I can help, if it was I certainly wouldn't have chosen it!

I can appreciate having good days and bad days, I have a series of good ones and I'm now really scared about having a bad day, but I can still feel the depress curled up like a ball inside me, it's a very strange feeling!

  • It's strange but I actually read somewhere that the mid-20s is actually a really common time for people to experience depression as the realities of life kick in! As opposed to the 'mid-life' crisis, there has been a lot written about the 'mid-20s' crisis where people struggle to adapt to their life - people realise that they have entered careers they don't particularly like, they adapt to moving from home, moving to unfamiliar circumstances, or can't afford to leave home and don't have their freedoms, are bogged down by debts, student loans, first love break down.......................

Depression can even strike kids! Like any illness, it doesn't respect class, age, gender, but anyone who knows depression knows that it definitely does exist and, from my experience, can be as bad as a physical pain. At times I was sore from just absolute heartache - I was tired, unable to sleep, I had chest pains, I could not stop crying, I could barely find the energy or desire to wash, get dressed, nevermind go to work!

Those who doubt depression is real are very lucky as one experience of depression will leave you with nothing but complete sympathy for those held prisoner by it.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

I have to admit while I have never wanted to self harm, I now understand why people do.

At least they can look at the blood pouring down their arm and say look I am hurting... when it's all on the inside people have no idea.
