Oh what can I say except what rotten luck. I do hope the £300 is about right fingers crossed.
Hopefully by now you are relaxing at home. The other poster was right its the thought of how close to the edge we all are on DFW that it takes very little to throw alot of work away.
On the other hand just think where you would be if you hadnt been moneysaving? Much worse of. These things happen and you will get through because (although you may not feel it but ) you are strong and a fighter. By using this site and talking to people you are showing that you wont give in.
Sorry I wasnt about when you needed and again fingers, toes and all other possible body parts crossed for good news.
PS Will your OH give you a back massage? Its a great free pampering way to relax! Think chocolate, bubble baths and positive thoughts!:j0 -
I tried to chill out last night. I watched some TV (love Time Team!!) had stuffed crust pizza followed by some dairy milk chocolate
Thanks Mum!! Was in bed by 9 messing around on my laptop, did a relaxation cd and was asleep by about 10.45.
But I have realised there is nothing i can do, either I can afford the repairs or I can't. If I can't I have 2 options:
1 - I wait and saving up for them or 2 - I beg the bank to help me.
(unless it's really bad and will cost more than the car is worth at which point I will have to write it off and start again, hopefully my insurance will help, but I don't know how it all works!)
I still feel sick and have a headache. My back is killing me, but they are all to do with the stress which is why I need to try and relax. Hopefully I will hear more today.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

I am very relieved as I am sure you can imagine. They think I saved the engine as I never but my foot of the acelerator (?) So all good.

Im fine
A bit shattered, I worked out that I have done 37 hours in the last four working days. Came in yesterday and couldnt get online. Thought it might be the weather so Id try in the morning. Woke up at 2.30 and couldnt get back to sleep so got up after an hour of trying to find I still couldnt get on. Soo bored and annoyed. Got back to sleep at 5 ish so will pay later on.
I cant believe how addictive this site is.
You were lucky Id have thrashed the engine before twigging something serious was wrong. Going to spend 300-400 on our car in the next few weeks.
1)keeps stalling so need idle air valve cleaned which is being done tomorrow, not budgeted for but shouldnt be to bad.
2) Cam belt as I am really riding my luck and I keep hearing stories of it going :rotfl: . Been planned for a while and I think i will finally have enough in the budget at the end of the month.:j0 -
Get it done!!!! Don't wait, I was really really lucky (the garage have had trouble believing how lucky I've been)
I've been really lucky with this car, and I'm glad she is up and running again, I hate having a bad nights sleep, try getting an early night tonight.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Hi guys how are things?
Just had a really crap hour with a client ringing up shouting at me and then tells my boss I threatened them! In floods of tears for a while but feeling better. Ill ring to make peace tomorrow.
This job is so tough, one minute Im ok but tonight was the first time I got in before six in about two weeks and it appears to have taken its toll. My review went well though passed all the targets so must be doing something right.
OH is kindly making dinner and then I think Ill have a nice long bath.
Hope things better with you, speak soon:j0 -
