Morning just as I post about the future it's all up in the air. Dg had another meltdown about work yesterday which I struggle not to be affected by. She's having all her work corrected by the supervisor and it's getting her down. I think it's still the grief that affecting her ability to think properly which is what she needs to do for her work. She disagrees says she's not good needs to quit law she's not good enough etc etc. I'm sure it's the grief maybe depression but she's not listening so keep saying she's going to resign and work her notice with no job to go to. Difficult as I understand I wouldn't want a job that made me feel like that but she's not prepared to consider counselling again says she might leave law altogether. Well if she does there will be no money for a BTL and she'll have to work past 60 as she cannot afford to retire. I thought it was the IT issues hat was the main gripe but oh no it's still there. Her supervisor is teaching her and being very constructive when making changes to her work so I think it's her not the work. It's a real shame but I will have to let it go and she'll do what she wants. If it was me I'd do a pros and cons thing.I'm going to be applying for the two jobs in the internal department. One is part time the other full time completely the same but one has further 5 points on the person specification and closing dates are different. Think I'll apply for both and see what happens. Strange they are no treated as two jobs for the same recruitment.Spending wise doing fine exercise good done two PT classes and two runs this week. Food not great yesterday massive take away pizza which dg wanted. Emotional eater is so her. Got our vaccines today two different places hopefully no side effects but you never know. Right I'll stop moaning and get out in that garden.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Morning had the AZ vaccine yesterday and immediately got the symptoms. Aches and pains and raised temperature very classic hopefully won't last long. I did get out in the garden yesterday painted the woodwork where DGs uncle missed bits and got a small row of radish and cut again salad sown under the plastic cover in one of the raised beds. Was really warm in there so thought why not. I used to make the mistake of sewing too soon and having plants everywhere indoors trying to avoid that.Easter is in he pool bar is coming along looks sweet I think. We also did the Amex cooking with the stars yesterday. Some lovely recipes quite easy to make but timings well out as I had not prepped the ingredients in advance. Still manage to almost finish dinner before the live Q&A. Will defiantly cook some of it again. Was going to write my application but not well enough so going to stay in bed for a bit longer. Nice to be vaccinated but annoying with the symptoms.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Two spend days £3 x 2 for birthday collections at work could have done it on the same day lol.
PT session this morning was really good doing another on Saturday. So tired tonight but hopefully running in the morning.Spent 2 x 1 hour with my manager helping me with parts of my application. Really helpful and I feel I've cracked the process much better now and I can see where I was going wrong before. I'll go for the part time role and a week later the full time one hopefully get an interview which will be a good start. I'm not sure this job is in my remit but worth a go at nothing to loose. If more jobs come up I'll know what I'm doing and it won't be quite so time consuming.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Yes she is super kind in doing it but she did message me today to say she's going for the full time post herself which I do not blame her for but I'm not sure why she's doing it as she's got a two day permanent role so why not do both roles. Not my problem obviously and she's now on leave for two weeks and then I'm away for the week she's back. I've message the person doing the recruitment and I'll ask why the person spec seems longer for the full time and I'll see if I go for both. Really not sure my ideal would be to keep mine and do both but sensibly the full time is much better paid than my current job. Still might not even get an interview.More plants arrived to day my couch to 5 a day arrived looks lovely all of it will plant it up in pots tomorrow. Morning should be at work early writing my application but do not feel like it. It's going ok and I spoke to the women recruiting yesterday so I know what to do. Still going for the part time role then see when interviews is and stick in the application for the full time after that,
PT going well and outdoor bootcamp on Thursday our friends are joining in so will actually be lovely to see them again. Went to play golf again last night for the first time since October it was lovely and the weather so warm. Felt like a bit of normality again. Tonight we can't play as need to empty the hot tub. I'm getting a rash from it which isn't good so need to clear out and start again.Spending lots of money on house at the moment found a perfect mirror for our little patio and a Dragenfly. It's such a dark corner I just love it now and you can see the hottub and the palm tree from the house now which is really nice. Also got the lamp we wanted from eBay and ordered a Chimera from Made.com. Saw some dinning chairs on Marketplace almost the same as what we wanted from Made.com but half price. Sadly they were sold so quickly I didn't get them. Anyway enough money spending here is a picture of the new mirror.Save £12k in 25 No 49

That new mirror looks lovely there TG.
How is DG doing with her work now; it sounds like you are approaching this in the best way; being supportive but listening. Its hard when worklife is difficult, often feels like there is no way out of it other than to resign which is sad.
I hope it improves for her soon, or she takes steps to make a change for the better for her.
Fingers crossed for you for hearing back about getting the interview too!First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

Thanks Kittenkirst it's still up and down and now she's having meltdowns again about not playing golf well. It has definitely confirmed in my mind it's the grief that's unbalanced something it's not the job or golf but not sure she's ready to take steps to tackle that part. It's still very raw two years later.Lovely having time off and look forward to my week off 12/4. Done gardening and bought more pots and soil. Back is looking more green now which is fab but has cost a fair bit. Little patio now has lovely lanterns which light up with a pattern I'll try to put a picture up.Done my money shuffling 6 spends days was all in March but only £33 to carry forward. Couple of jobs to carry over on the list to April but getting here. Not completed the application not due for another week so got next weekend to work on it. My sister rang this morning my dad cannot really hear on the phone but I managed to send some pictures of then house so they can now at least show him and his girlfriend got some nice pictures of them too doing eater egg hunt for the teenagers lol. My nephew really wants cream eggs so must remember to buy some.Sounds like dg is awake had dinner and cocktails in the pool bar last night. I want to do some gardening then golf later. Also won £75 on the premium bonds very happy with that one. Good return in two months for £20k = £100.Happy Easter everyone 🐣🐥Save £12k in 25 No 49

Looks like my pool bar Easter pictures never loaded well I'll do them again and hope you had a nice Easter. We played golf with yet another meltdown and then had roast dinner. As this is money saving thought I would mention the Goodtogo really can get a lot of nice stuff now so many more retailers are on there. We picked up an M&S bag last week for £4 we got their gourmet cottage pie and sticky toffee pudding as well as a bag of Brussels sprouts. Got another bag tonight from them. I really like Greggs ones get so much for £2.59 enough for dinner and lunch plus donuts and yumyums. It's worth setting your closest ones as favourites and look when they sell out. Then go in the next day around that time and see if you can nab one. If you are very rural I doubt you'll get any but Morrison's Budgens Costa Nero Greggs plus M&S are on mine plus once the pubs and restaurants open well get all them back.Golf again today the lady we were playing with has pulled out so just the two of us. If dg walks in I'll carry on like a did yesterday and I've also signed up for proper game.Enjoy your Bank Holiday here's my no spend map and a picture of the new lights.Save £12k in 25 No 49
