Thanks Caeler bet you can't wait for your mini green house! I've been doing Jo Wiley might stick with her not sure yet will be the third time I'm doing it.Looked again at switching energy but we are in a fixed deal and it's so much lower than anything else so with MSE energy club they tell you when to switch so might as well wait until it runs out and I have my annual bill so it can be accurately assessed.Oh forgot to say the Chilli beef was ok would have it again but wasn't crispy and annoyingly it doesn't say cornflower on the ingredient list but I have bought some just couldn't get it to crisp up and didn't want to overlook the fillet beef strips. Sorry such an awful picture I need to wipe the plate really.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Plan to move to Denmark for FIRE by Autumn 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

Yesterday was not a no spend day as I found a local personal trainer who will do us Zoom sessions until we can get back outside. He is military style (ex army) which is what we are used to from bootcamp. He also does group sessions very local to here so will do those when it opens again. It was £150 each and we get 10 sessions but if it keeps us both motivated that's money well spent. Now we are not paying for the other bootcamp either. Dg really needs to keep going she's down about work so if she gets worse with her weight and lack of exercise it's all downhill. I had planned to start the run this morning but didn't very lazy but new PT sessions will be early mornings so no more excises get back into a routine of getting up especially with no commute.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Really also hope we get to go to Denmark in July.No spend day too chilling after work no bootcamp but either doing a virtual class or starting couch to 5k.Work is ok at the moment quite interesting and I'm kind of ahead so nice feeling. Sun has been shining but rain forecast tomorrow.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Bit of a mishap today managed to hit myself in the face with one of the electric bungee cords hat holds the raised bed. Luckily missed my eye as it's got a metal hook. Plastic had survived the storm quite impressed with that. Had our first PT session at 7 this morning he is good like being back at bootcamp I think it's just what we need to loose weight and get ready to get back on track. Cutting down on crap and sugar is vital but doing ok so far. DGs only downfall today was opening a bottle of Diet Pepsi. I had some but caffeine feel yuck now and it's too sweet so that's a good thing.Ordered some more soil on joint account and used a quidco credit to get some black grow bags done the side garden. Going to grow a lot in bags this year just to get me started. Weekend doesn't look great so not sure how much I'll get done out here also really cold still. Got my black grass definitely needed to replace the stuff I had in my planter nowhere near as nice as the new stuff so glad I ordered it.Well enough waffle from me hope you have a nice evening.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Weekend thank goodness work is getting busier but I'm being given more interesting projects which is fab. A woman I work with in another team said they have a vacancy in their team it's only 3 days a week but it would be at a higher wage. It would involve more evening work as you have to attend trustee board meetings so could also mean travel but worth a look at for sure. Just not sure I've got the right skill set and then there's the application form. She's not done one for years but she did suggest someone in her team who could help. Job isn't on the portal yet so could not take a look. Not sure why as they usually give you two weekends. Might check today. So windy greenhouse cover still in place and more garden stuff has arrived. Will get soil today for new pots but the snow drops aren't here yet so might have to wait on the black grass. Hopefully get the patios pressure washed today would be good before the pool gets opened up.Ordered a too good to go bag from Budgens never had one before but it's local so easy to pick up. Technically I should take the £4 out of the joint account but seems a bit silly so not a nsd yesterday. Still on 2 spending days so happy with that and glad I found the PT been for two runs hoping to do another tomorrow.Katsu curry from the spice kit tonight our favourite cannot wait. Trying to eat better too really want to loose the ponds gained since bootcamp. No reason why we couldn't new. Enjoy your Saturdays.Save £12k in 25 No 49

The toogoodtogo bag from Budgens was great £4 and I got loads. My favourite blue cheese, broccoli, carrots, two pots of hummus, fresh noodles, pasta ready meal and mushroom stir fry. Only thing I binned was the mushroom stir-fry as we hate mushrooms. Going to make noodles with quorum mince and veg for dinner tonight.Katsu curry was delicious as always and load left for two more portions so froze the sauce and can just cook the breaded chicken and rice when having it again.Want to so more gardening today but it's really cold. Dg has finished the memorial seat for her mum she's very sensitive today of all days really miss her mum. I miss mine too but at least I can message her and speak to her.Going to power wash the patio ready for the pool opening.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Glad today is over been a long one with lots of meetings.Potential one year job part time up doe grabs as my place. Different team interesting work better pay but not sure I'm good enough. Got people I can ask so will do starting with my manager tomorrow. I am not sure on the extension of my contract but perhaps they could get me two days who knows. Issue is my manager is currently full time as her other job dried up in pandemic so she might wish to stay too or go for this other job could be awkward!
Had a chat about retirement with dg. She's got virtually no pension so her plan was to buy a property and rent it out. She couldn't get a buy to let mortgage as she doesn't already own a property when we tried last so have been thinking of ways to do it without us both being on the mortgage and paying extra stamp duty. So the plan is currently to lend her £70K which she will pay back over 4 years. Hopefully she'll manage to get £50k saved herself and we can get a flat or something without having to worry about a gifted deposit or a mortgage. Currently the £50k is invested but it's coming out anyway to move into another platform but I would obviously asked the IFA to not do that yet. Once she start paying it back I can invest that on a monthly basis obviously.Going for week two of couch to 5k min a min it's lovely and sunny here.Save £12k in 25 No 49

That is very kind of you TG. Certain you know what you are doing. Please do ensure that you have all your bases covered. In our work, we come across couples where the relationship has ended, but there was no contractual clarity in the financial agreements. But, as DG is a lawyer, you already know to get your own to draw up any agreement made between you. What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Thank you we would definitely have an agreement drawn up only way to go I would get security in the property until loan paid off.So tired this evening started the day with outdoor bootcamp session it was great we both enjoyed it even if we shouldn't be doing it yet. Next week is two more sessions then we start group sessions so will only be one session PT so slight cheaper. Hope to soon feel the benefits. There is a second full time job in the same department come up and I asked my manager if she would help me get the examples right for the application. She's more than happy to help so that really is fab news. We have two sessions next week to look at it so I need to get working on it at the weekend.Work is better I'm catching up now which is good but also been accepted for another project which should be interesting.Need sleep night night.Save £12k in 25 No 49
