  • #13, Total of £576.35 saved. Was hoping to go on holiday but that's on hold during the current situation so may use it for Christmas. Thank you to KdGalway for the thread and hope I can save again next year. Hope everyone has a good Christmas and manages to get to see family and friends following restrictions.
  • I’m going to declare my final total as £488 for the year. Not as much as previous years but it’s been an odd one! I’ve no inspiration for prezzies yet and I don’t feel inclined to post parcels around the country, after ordering online and wrapping; especially as our post office closed this year. It’s all a bit ‘bah humbug’.
Even so, I’m up for doing this challenge again next year so count me in,

    Debt Free 🍾 since 6.8.13 £31,997
    Saving for 🎄 🎁 2025 £387/£850 45.5%
    6 mth 🆘 fund £6k
    Mortgage offset fund £24.7k/£41.3k 59.8%
It turns out the answer to my problems wasn’t at the bottom of this tub of ice-cream, 🍨 but the important thing is that I tried...
  • Anyone made a save a £1 a day for Christmas 2021 thread yet? Can’t find one and don’t want to dupe post if there is one. It’s such a great idea, congrats. It’s doable which I love. Just got to put it somewhere it won’t be touched 👍

    Hi All
    Hope everyone is keeping well?
I've added totals for this year and set up the new thread.
It's been a funny old year, not quite in the Christmas zone yet, and unusually hubby has mentioned making the house look Christmassy, he's usually bag humbug! Maybe I'll pull the tree and decs out tomorrow.
I've made a good start on buying both festive treats and pressies, I need to have a look at what I've got to check as at the moment I can't get a food shop booked beyond 11th December and I'll only go to the little shop in my village for bits and bobs.
I've tried to add a link for the new thread, fingers crossed
