  • #50 update.
    Got to £286/£366 yesterday.
As I was also on the "Make £2020 in 2020 challenge" and achieved that goal sooner than expected , I've put the excess amount of £80 from that onto this challenge.
Cheating a bit, I know, but we're in unusual times and don't know what's ahead, so I just want to be as prepared as I can with a little put by as quickly as I am able.
So I've now reached my goal of £366/£366, and have a nice xmas pot to cover some little treats to look forward to.
Wishing everyone well in this challenge, and thanks for all the encouraging posts.

I haven't got a number as joined a bit late, but I have been following this through the year - its a great idea

I'm on target to reach my £365 by 1st December - just got to cash in some loyalty points (sainsbugs, morries etc.).  Slight hiccup is Zipzero who aren't paying out yet and I have about £55 there.  I'm still scanning in receipts in the hope that they find a backer to at least pay some of the money, but won't count on it.  So the next two months are going to be spent on earning that £55 as well.  I've got a few ebay sales to make so shouldn't be too much of a problem fingers crossed.

This is such a brilliant idea as I used to rely on the 2 council tax free months to catch up after xmas, but this way there won't be any catching up needed.   Looking forward to joining the next one if that's okay.

  • Checking in but not much to report. A few more ££££’s in the right direction and there will be enough for Xmas because that will be v.quiet this year depending on who is locked down by then. 🤔

#36 reporting in with £558/£366.  Spent some nectar points on Christmas presents in Argos, saving £25 cash in the process.  Prolific surveys have been.... well, prolific!

Only 9 days on and I can now report #36 with £590/£366.  More Nectar points 'spent' and a £5 bonus for using 'Shop and Scan'.  That will be a once only attempt - even in these Covid times I prefer to engage with other humans rather than an app....  Likewise the Lidl app, now deleted.

  • Hi
I hope you are all well?
I've done the totals and given SandyShores a number 😊
Has anyone started their Christmas shopping yet? I've made a  start on getting some nice food bits I've been adding the odd bit here and there to my food shopping.
I've only bought 1 gift so far, I think I am likely to do most of my shopping online, but with local people, I've joined a virtual Christmas market on fb for one of the nearby villages.
    Catch you all soon x

    Hi All,

Thank you KD its lovely to have a number.

No Christmas shopping done here yet.  Normally I leave it to the last minute, so I'm looking forward to having actual cash to spend
