    Update:
    £503/£600 saved
I'm starting to think more about what I need for those I buy for. I usually start a countdown notebook at the end of October, but I'm thinking I might start earlier this year.
Don't know what everyone else is like, but I'm getting a bit anxious about going out to buy presents. I don't want to go shopping in a scrum!

Now at £498, thanks to a £40 bonus on a Prolific survey.  Just as well, as I have a £530 laptop on order.... but, although that's not saving for Christmas, it IS almost free!
    #2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £366
  • Hi, I've been following along but didn't ask for a number as I wasn't sure if I would be able to stick it out.  I've found it pretty easy so far and have mostly been saving my loyalty points (instead of just spending my points I've been using them for groceries and putting the equivalent amount of grocery money into a savings pot).  I've got £210 in the savings pot so far plus another £20 in nectar points and a few other bits and pieces of loyalty money to convert.  In total its now £299.34 so I should be well on track for 1st December.  I've been using the receipt scanning apps and have been able to put about £30 cash away into the pot from those.   Sadly the Zipzero receipt scanning app hasn't paid out yet - I've got £45 that should be available but  they've messaged to say that they are struggling to find a backer.  I'm not banking on it paying out, if it does its a bonus, if not I will just have to work a little harder over the next few months

    Mortgage 30 Jul'25 est. £209,749 £309,749 (aiming for sub-£200k next)
Seven Goals; 12.5lbs lost in 4 months (5.5lbs to go); walk/run/exercising/weights/yoga

  • Some ticketed TCB was resolved which is great and together with a couple of other bits has bumped my total up.  It’s probably due to Covid but TCB seems to have almost ground to a halt.  I’ve had approx. £70 confirmed for months now, it’s not moving to payable, and even more is stuck in pending. Hopefully I will see some movement before Christmas or I’ll be spending my own money for the first time in five years!
