Thank you for the warm wishes for the pregnancy!
Spent what was for me an eye-watering amount at Mr T last night, should have gone to Aldi but it's done now. We're doing an early Christmas dinner on Sunday as we won't see my family over the holidays so that's why it was a bit more than I'm used to.
Mr Pea wants a pressure washer for Christmas (how romantic!). Checked today and it has £20 off so I've ordered it on click and collect and will get me parents to take me to get it tomorrow while Mr Pea takes our car to the garage. Luckily I have enough in the Christmas budget to cover the purchase as I was planning on getting it after pay day.
Today will work out as a NSD. Currently tucking in to a tin of soup at work and we're having chilli out of the freezer for tea tonight. I've got the dog to bath when I get home and then the bathroom and downstairs loo to clean! Ironing mountain is still there but that might have to wait, I can move it to the bottom of the wardrobe until parents have gone...
Banking checked/ PMP still to check

Afternoon all

Congratulations to Princess Pea
And hope you feel better soon CLF
Yesterday's funeral went as well as could be expected - very sad though
So far today I have:
Packed and posted 3 ebay items
Been to sales unit to tidy up / add some items
Done the 'weekly shop'. Only spent about £13 but I didn't need anything else, so didn't buy it! May need to go early next week, may not.
Grabbed 3 wine boxes from the supermarket, empty obviously
Asked a man who was about to recycle a pile of newspapers in the supermarket bins if I could have them. I use them for ebay packaging but couldn't resist telling him when he asked that I wanted them to line my cat's litter tray - well, it is the Daily M*il _pale_
:rotfl:
Listed a couple of new items on ebay
Finished off some leftovers for lunch
Stll to do:
Some housework
Naan bread pizzas for dinner
Light the stove and drink coffee beside it - it is a horrible dark, cold, rainy day!0 -
Congratulations, Princess Pea!
We like nice news on here!
Dawn - Too right, that is the only thing that nasty little rag would get used for in our house too!
CLF - I'm not sure it's possible to get a cold from a flu jab? Aren't they two different viruses? Though freely admit science not one of my strong points (except plants!) It does sound as though your immune system has taken a huge hammering. Time to build up those good gut bacteria colonies.
F x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -
Morning all :hello:
Hoping for a fairly chilled day today. But still a few jobs to complete:
Check a refund has been applied to my account
Collect a click and collect order
Small to prepaid activity
Make chicken soup
Some washing on airer done overnight
Chilled evening with the family, will pick a movie from our stash
Smalls to opticians, no charge
Clean bathroom
Have a good day all Purps.0 -
I thought I’d take a look and see how I’d done this week. These were my goals:
- 4 NSDs (Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat) - Not achieved at all! I’ve had no NSDs, however Tuesday was because I donated the remaining of my 2 pints of milk to the work fridge so picked up more, and only picked up milk, nothing else! Wednesday I caved and bought a yoghurt at work, and Friday I caved and got takeaway coffee and snacks for a road journey. Today I’m spending on new tyres for the car and some small Xmas presents, and a few groceries for the start of the week. I must plan better!
- eat from the freezer and cupboards as much as possible Achieved this - toad in the hole with sausages from the freezer and two lunches of overnight oats with cupboard and freezer stuff.
- plan ahead for Christmas (cards and gifts) so I don’t spend more last minute Todays job
- Check where fuel is cheapest, two long trips this week Done. Although two long trips means I may need to fill up again in the near future
- investigate switching energy from British Gas to BG as apparently that’s a good deal right nowneed to look in to this today and see what the deal ishttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6086606/debt-free-by-23/p1True LBM, December 2019 = £32934. Current Debt = £12762. 1% Challenge = 61.1%. #51 3-6 Month EF Challenge = £1200/£6000

Hi guys

Dawn glad the funeral went as well as could be expected x
Well I've been up a couple of hours and pottered around so the ds is now tidy (just need to wash up) I want to go upstairs and do some sewing but oh is still sleeping!
yesterday I splurged on a new overlocker  however it has been in my amazon basket for a few months because I knew it was likely to be reduced in the black friday event. £200 to £145 (fool hardy maybe?! see comment below)
Seeped 2nd use teabags and fed plants a jug of tea
Today:
Going to do a TOMM - shouldn't be doing it today but I haven't been able to keep up on Friday focus and t's only 30 mins
get something out of the freezer for tea
make a loaf of bread & batch of pancakes
go for a walk
wash some fabric for baby change bags x 2
try not to spend any money. I go to 1/2 pay this month  which is actually £400 less than half of my pay. Need to call payroll on Tuesday. Hopefully this will focus my mind to work out what my next steps are....
madam has just asked if we can make cupcakes today so that'll be a nice activity and maybe a film later on
I've had a cull of madam's clothes. Think I'll go through and put a bundle together
Think that's my lot.DF as at 30/12/16

Morning all

Can't seem to get very motivated this morning
But I have been outside and moved some concrete slabs from the back to the front of the house for a freecycler to pick up, which might be why :rotfl:
Also quick kitchen tidy, sold an ebay item and listed a couple more.
The weather is miserable, though it isn't actually raining yet, and I have no intention of going anywhere or spending anything.
I ought to ring a friend and arrange to meet up with her, but don't like the idea of the long distance drive in the dark and wet. Must have a word with myself I think! Now done, arrangements made
Anyway, I need to get on and do something!
DS popped in with two of his (older) children
He brought a chopping board and a chair for OH to mend. I fed them all on tea and cake
DD came along while they were still here, so she and little GS saw them as well. Little GS took no notice of his uncle and cousins and wouldn't get off my lap :rotfl: It is GD's 6th birthday today. Didn't see her as her Dad had taken her and her friend to the cinema, but DD took her presents and will give them to her tomorrow when the excitement is over. I was determined to avoid pink plastic, so got her a little vintage painting of some chicks with a toad, and a mushroom growing kit - she is obsessed with fungi, of all things. Maybe she will be a mycologist :rotfl:
Made a batch of quite fiery spicy butternut squash soup
Sold another small ebay item
Claimed a £5 Amazon voucher from a survey site
Lunch and dinner from stores, nothing spent
