    Hi all,
    Pf, now thats a good idea, I'll talk to ds2 and see what he thinks and we'll be near a Wiiko at the weekend. He was really happy with the "new to him" bed frame, I think he thought I was getting a new mattress which he wasn't keen on as he loves his one!
    Its much colder and windier here today. I haven't done the bagging up leaves in the garden yet but I can't say I fancy that as a plan today!

    Todays to do list

    Priority
    :heartpuls 1 - Go to the gym - gym buddy won’t be there BUT I need to get back to losing weight as a priority done
    :heartpuls 2 - Food shop - with list done, needed aldee icyland and hb to get everything off my list, luckily they're all together.
    :heartpuls 3 - Must remember to do correctly del survey done

    Kitchen
    :heart2: Cook two chickens and some stuffing in the oven together to make the most of it being on. done
    :heart2: Wash a load on the quick 30 degree wash doneand hang on the heated airer done
    :heart2: Run the dishwasher on the quick wash done and empty done
    :heart2: Update freezer list done and meal plan after this mornings shop done
    :heart2: Make families lunches for tomorrow done
    :heart2:

    Getting organised -
    :heart2: Dig out some tinsel done to pop into the inlaws hamper to finish it off done
    :heart2: Update calendar with some more dates that have come through from the school done
    :heartpuls Also wrapped up a box of chocs for my mums birthday (early Jan) and wrapped up another 3 boxes of chocolates as extra xmas gifts in case one of the neighbours pop something in to us. - I always have a couple of extra bits wrapped just in case and if not needed then we will enjoy the chocolates over the xmas/New year period ourselves :)

    :heart2: Write xmas cards - little and often. done
    :heart2: Sort email inboxes and unsubscribe from what I can. done
    :heart2: Find an extra long hdmi cable as we’ve moved stuff around again - look online

    Money wise
    :heartsmil: Check banking/update spreadsheet done
    :heartsmil: Make sure everything is off that can be off at the socket, we don't need to see the time displayed on the oven or microwave for example done
    :heartpuls Keep the heating off until the kids come home from school, I won't put heating on when just me in the house. done
    :heartpuls Sort a pile of paperwork away that I ran out of time to sort yesterday done
    :heartpuls Washed my own car rather then spend money going to the car wash, its not perfect but its better then it was.

    This week I’d also like to
    :heart: Do some surveys
    :heart: General decluttering/tidying done, straightened up shower room cupboards and made a list of what we "don't" need to buy toiletries wise!
    :heart: Deep clean the shower room done

    Coffee drunk so I better crack on a put the shopping away first done and put the shopping bags back in the car ready for next time. . Take care all.

    Morning folks!

    Well I ended up going to an open mic night with OH last night (he was actually working) but I'm so tired now today. Despite the fact that at the moment I can sleep in due to my reduced hours at work, my brain went *kerching* at about 6.15am :eek:

    Today's plan:
    :heartpuls B/L/D from stores
    :heartpuls Flu jab after work. Get receipt to claim back on expenses. Flu decimated our office 2 years ago and so the company started paying for flu jabs.
    :heartpuls Charge phone in work - done
    :heartpuls Heating off all day as no one in - hoping the general energy usage will start obviously reducing now that I'm back in work - elec has been especially high
    :heartpuls Check PMP - done
    :heartpuls Early night

    Have a good one all

    Afternoon all :)
    Been out this morning to pick up an unsold item on OH's from an auction house. Stopped at a garden centre on the way back, and bought a few things. Not gardening related, but a couple of presents, some birthday cards and new slippers for me, which were much needed as my old ones are a disgrace where the dog used to drag them out in the garden :o OH bought fuel for the car, but we decided to avoid going to the supermarket for a few things as I intended, and came home for coffee and lunch instead of having them at the garden centre restaurant, which is a nice one :A
    We have to go to a funeral tomorrow - DD1's father in law is being cremated :( Not looking forward to that at all.
    I feel really sorry for SiL at the moment, as not only has he just lost his Dad, but his oldest friend died suddenly at the weekend. He was only in his 40s and had 3 small children :(
    Anyway, I must make a loaf in the BM. I have taken sausage casserole out of the freezer (trying to use up the home made 'ready meals' in there to free up a bit of space. Loaf in BM now
    I have an ebay item to pack, and a lady is coming round shortly to pick up another item sold on FB. Actually got my behind in gear and listed another item, which also sold. Both items collected now :D Still need to pack the ebay item though!
    Hope everyone is having a good day :)
    Thanks for good wishes regarding the funeral - not looking forward to it at all :(

    * Update spreadsheet

    * Order present online via TCB
    * Ask OH to get loft ladder down so I can get the wrapping paper down (I’m too short to reach!)

    Nice to catch up with what everyone's been up to. I'm just gearing myself up to think about tonight's meal. I'm using up the last of a box of suet to make dumplings. Will cook them in a big pan of the chicken & leek soup I made last week.
    Dawn - Hope the funeral goes peacefully. Always so sad saying goodbye to family & friends.

  • Yesterday’s quality time with DH was spent clearing and then cleaning the smalls room. How times have changed :rotfl: at least no money was spent but a bag of recycling left the building, several items for the charity shop bag and several other items returned to their rightful home :T

    Still need to portion that salmon, on today’s list it goes. Other things:

    Check banking
    Reconcile just for points CC
    Message someone about item I’ve sold
    See if I can list a couple of bits on fleabay/ local selling page
    Another appointment using prepay card. They have a market veg stall there, may pick up some fruit to avoid having to make another stop
    Quick clean through
    Going to a festive sale tonight, hoping to get the last couple of presents I need. So have a list. Love to shop locally and support independents but will only get if in budget!
    Drink plenty of water

    Have a good day all. Purps.

Done, we have in there 5 x ys bread sauce mix, dh is the only one who likes bread sauce (I'd never even heard of it until I met him!) Usually at xmas he buys a ready made tub of it at Mr T but earlier in the year he saw these reduced to 5p and bought them, will make up a batch with a chicken dinner for tonight (that will still leave 4 more!) a part pack of cous cous - this is BBE June 18, a[STRIKE] pack of beetroot[/STRIKE],made a batch of beetroot/choc brownies, can use these in the kids lunch boxes tomorrow a tub of OOD powdered milk opened this up and used it to make some porridge for my lunch, it was much creamier then the porridge I usually make :) and some weightwatchers dressing sachets that a friend gave me as they didn't like them (BBE Sept 18)

    Getting organised -
    :heart2: Hoover out my car, often find a few pennies that the kids have dropped when I do! not done as it rained

    ** Dry washing put away off the heated airer.

    :heart2: Hang washing on airer a Done nd do some ironing if its dry enough later

    Money wise

    Today I have/will:
    * Check banks
    * "Fix" kitchen tap as kept running for a second after being turned off
    * Make lunch to take to work
    * Park for free and walk the mile-ish to work
    * Reconcile my bank account with my spreadsheet
    * Buy block for circuits
    * Check old energy account to see if there's any clue when it will close and refund me the credit
    * Read MSE email
    * Check OP/PA
    * Cash out on quidco (whole £1.01!)
    * Snap any receipts
    * Go to circuits
