Vehicle Incorrectly Seized

Their database wasn’t updated and the plate didn’t exist on there because of it so yes it was incorrect because DVLA said it was fine. If i take out an insurance policy on another car right now, i can take it out onto the road and drive once the policy starts correct? So it works the same with changing the policy to another registration. Nothing has been embellished you just find it hard to believe. I wouldn’t be here if it was a simple scenario. The police take their registration data from the DVLA and the insurance from the insurance database. So it wasn't their database that was incorrect.
I see the sun has somewhat embellished the story to make better reading.
Before you drive again I'd get some legal plates.0 -
What a ridiculous assumption. The entire thing was on bodycam, if you think from reading a news article you can assume that i was giving attitude then you can request to view the bodycam or come with me to court and see what the officer has to say about how i behaved.
I complied completely because i knew i was legit. The reason it’s in The Sun is because i wasn’t given the same rights as you.
Inconsistency in law or being racially discriminated? Not sure. I didn’t even get paid for the article so you can stop questioning my motives.
And no doubt the body cam footage will be different to the suns story.
They've quoted you as saying.
"I’ve been left with points on my licence over an admin error."
That's not true is it?0 -

But they get their information direct from the DVLA, so it's a DVLA issue. Same with insurance the MIB and/or Elephant are to blame.
I take it the racial discrimination is because officers weren't Asian.0 -

Was true at the time the story was published? I had the points and didn’t know if i stood a chance in court with each body blaming each other. I’m expecting a callback from The Sun tomorrow to update the article. So now what? And no doubt the body cam footage will be different to the suns story.

I understand your concern for the layout of the plates but that’s not why i was pulled and it’s not why i’m going to court or being fined or getting points. If the police didn’t have an issue with the spacing why do you at this specific moment in time? Have i not said that i’m getting them sorted? Am i not here for help on the more important matter? If you are going to dwell on it then please just leave the forum lol.Even if the spacing sorted the plates wouldn't be legal but that's what you get when they're not purchased in the correct way.0

DVLA approved and transferred it through to their system on the Saturday and I got pulled over on the Monday.
If it wasn’t 11pm and the police had the ability to call up DVLA it would’ve been resolved as DVLA had done everything on their side. This has been investigated like i stated initially. The police follow their national computer database which had an admin error of not updating as likely as it should have.
Regardless, it hardly isn’t my fault is it? I should have had the opportunity to have 7 days to go into the police station and provide documents. If i have the option to take the points or take the police to court then i’m taking the police to court.
It’s funny because everyone assumes the police are always right. I’m not saying it because the police weren’t asian, but i don’t see white people getting their vehicles seized without having the ability to show some documents. Why wasn’t i allowed? Sometimes it is racism and if i feel a certain way about the way me and the passenger was treated then i will pursue it because i was there and i went through it mate. But they get their information direct from the DVLA, so it's a DVLA issue. It's not true you haven't got any points as a result of being stopped given you're rejecting the ticket.0 -
Without having to show their documents?
Its literally a legal procedure0
