Why is this relevant? It’s significant to me and it come out of my pocket so if you can help me then do so, if not focus on your own finances and purchases

What is the private plate meant to spell out?
Seems a waste of money to me.

I applied a private plate from DVLA and notified my insurance on 11/11/19. On 13/11/19 I was pulled for no insurance and no plate. Police didn't even give me the opportunity to show documents and seized my vehicle even though it was showing insured on askmid and I had all my supporting documents. They now have sent me 6 points and a £300 fine and i have opted for a court hearing. My insurance has investigated and so have DVLA and now i have evidence everything was done on my side and their side but the police computer database was slow to show the changes. I have since then had an article on The Sun

Where i have undergone defamation in the comments section as people are finding the story difficult to believe. I am a recent graduate, i work, i am heavily distressed and now going to ask my GP for prescriptions to help me deal. It has affected my credit score, financial loss of £321.10 thus far, accumulating overdraft interest daily, affecting my career prospects and personal life and i am receiving slander when people recognise my vehicle leading to humiliation and distraught. I have done nothing wrong at all and feel as i was racially discriminated.

Since i have obtained and investigated to conclude the required evidence to point blame at West Midlands Police, they have stopped replying to my emails as the only method of appeal to the Vehicle Recovery Unit.

Now i want to go to court to be compensated and reimbursed and get my points and fines cleared.

My question is, how much can i claim in compensation for all of the above? How do i proceed?

GP prescriptions for heavily distressed, distraught, racial discrimination, career prospects, slander and humiliation.

That's an impressive list to be going on with.
Handy hint for future reference: if you don't want people commenting don't pose for pictures in the gutter press.

If you've had proper legal advice, that's what you should be going with, not guesstimate from random internet strangers.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

What a ridiculous assumption. The entire thing was on bodycam, if you think from reading a news article you can assume that i was giving attitude then you can request to view the bodycam or come with me to court and see what the officer has to say about how i behaved.

I complied completely because i knew i was legit. The reason it’s in The Sun is because i wasn’t given the same rights as you.

Inconsistency in law or being racially discriminated? Not sure. I didn’t even get paid for the article so you can stop questioning my motives.

Having had a somewhat similar situation (car correctly registered to me but insurance amended by insurance company to wrong model/registration) - stopped by Police, spoken to nicely, given 7 day producer with suggestion that I got letter from insurance company explaining situation.

All handled nicely with no 'attitude' from either party - they'd have been within their rights to seize but chose not to, I didn't challenge in any way.

We only know one side of the story - the fact it's appeared in The Sun gives some clue to the OP's attitudes

Good luck in the compo quest :rotfl:

I wasn't actually aware at the time of ordering that the spacing was illegal (my mistake)

How can you not be aware ?

I'm aware of it yet Ive not explored the option of changing a number plate.
Not sure how I'm aware of it, I read it somewhere I bet.

I was puzzled on the plate also. Not an important matter just curious and wondered what it could be altered to read?

Compensation, claim for all your losses.

It is meant to be an abbreviation for ‘Engineer’. I don’t mind explaining it to people when they ask like yourselves but when people have something to negative to say with something i’ve chosen to buy then i don’t bother telling them.

And if you didn’t read it somewhere then you probably wouldn’t have been aware of it... so that probably answers your question.
