Vehicle Incorrectly Seized

I am not going to go through 12 pages but am I correct in my impression that the car was shown as insured on MID but not on Plod's database?
If this is really the case I am astonished that it did not occur to plod that their database might just be lagging behind behind the real MID one and that would explain why the car did not show on theirs.
I wonder what plod thought would happen next.
If My understanding is correct then in my view the OP has had his car seized unlawfully and should sue the CC for the return of his money0 -

You need to check S165A of the Road Traffic Act. I explained earlier why I believed his vehicle had been seized lawfully but later conceded that he may have a case that it was not lawful. But it isn't because car was "...shown as insured on MID but not on Plod's database." Post #216, #225 and #236 explain.0
