    Thanks FP and Skinty

Totally got a plan and it's already grown bigger than I thought it would.

I've purchased a pre-loved 'massage oil warmer', it's previous life was heating baby bottles; that was a handy tip to find on a different site and saved loads of money.

Funny you say about the slow cooker as that's what it looks like! There's a few ways of heating the stones without the 'proper heater', including hot water in a bowl. I'll look at what else is suggested.

I've done the purple part of my hair colour, need to wash it off. Painted my nails with a pink base and sparkles on top. I'll do some waxing between clients over the next couple of days and a bit of my FBM course as I think I'm able to cope with the practical side of it so can push on with the theory, although im not 100% recovered.

    Thank you SH and FP

I'm definitely enjoying my new work and can't wait for it to be FT. My 4th week has come around so quickly and even the salon owner forgets I'm new.

I've only got one booking tomorrow but will be getting shown how to do gels easier and quicker than I was taught and a few other nail related things.

Had an almost full diary today, only wax and tints but by the end I'd got it all figured out. One client came in for two things, but I only did the one as I said the other wasn't needed. "Lost" money but potentially gained a regular due to being honest. Another client has block booked monthly "big" treatments due to the advertising ☺️

Remaining rent needed over 3 weeks £230.

All my books have arrived 😄 as did bits for my muscles. The "posh" facial and massage products are due tomorrow; I'll bring my current ones home after I swap over.

TomBo has just popped out for Chinese and we'll be watching films this evening 🤗

Chinese and film night sounds good. I have film night here with a little one. We just bought our snacks. Suspect it is the little mermaid again!  ;)

I'm really missing a decent Chinese. Need to find a good one once I can eat a broader range of foods.

    What are your fave meals?

    Thanks Skinty, DIA and SH

It's all down to what the takeaway is good at making!
    - There's only a few things I will have from my local; roast pork curry, fried rice, little spring rolls, salt and chilli chips, salt and chilli ribs; latter two are so nice, but the amount of salt has me back and forth to the shower room, TomBo refuses to buy them for me now 🤭
    - My previous life one was good at everything they sold.

Those gut feeling niggles came to fruition this week as I got slated by bestie to budy, who did stand up for me.

Got told I do things wrong, I've been badly trained and how she'll have to re-train me, in front of clients. Yay, I'll be taught in how to do things from a decade ago, instead of what I'm covered for under my insurance; as per manufacturers instructions and training. Training includes managing own health as it's very common for therapists to develop conditions and thats why it's covered in classes.
    - I finished my week in loads more pain due to doing things her way.

As for infection control there's none; it's not ok to use things across clients without cleaning or changing! I go in early to clean, sterilse, change everything over etc, do the same after each client based on what was used. Tempted to print and laminate copies of my IC certs and hang them in my room 🤭
    - Budy was really worried about me especially as she knows what's going on in the day job; we both do this for passion, not the money else we would have gone for conveyer belt places!

There's been niggles since starting, they just reached that invisible line. I'm self-employed, my own boss!

I knew I'd outgrown it before my first day and will continue doing right by my clients, while saving, do the college training and rent elsewhere or do mobile.

Time to crack on with my FBM course as I've models very keen to help with the practical side of training 😁

Sorry about that. Not great. You don't need that with everything else going on. Any solutions?

    Sorry you had that experience.
Once you get going word of mouth will bring you in clients if you do everything the right way  :)
