  • Training sounds like fun ☺️ and they all sound so supportive.

Is Tombo volunteering for the nails or the waxing 😆 (Sorry couldn’t resist only joking!)

    Hope you are keeping warm

Was just reading Wednesday’s MSE email and there were lots of cheap sims. Not sure if you have seen it but I thought you might find it useful (scroll down for Cheap Sims)

    Thank you SH and Skinty

I've asked him a few times and he ignores my plea!

I appreciate you posting that link, half are my current provider and I've no signal at home, the other is hit and miss. Would have picked one up today but it was closed for lunch.

Still trying to get mates volunteer for my latest course so I can qualify into that treatment; worst case is I'll have to ask on social media.

To do list for this week, mainly carried forward:
    - buy a mobile and SIM (getting from T) (Weds)
    - buy insurance
    - work out price list (Mon)
    - combine both nail trolleys and a case (Fri)
    - put wax kit into, hopefully, empty small trolley (Fri)
    - check kits to ensure they're stocked properly (Fri)
    - check 2nd home
    - colour my hair (Fri)
    - attend training course (Sun)
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • Hope you can find someone to volunteer. Sounds like a busy week. Not hearing much about 2nd home but I suppose there’s not much going on this time of year, especially with the weather?

  • Thanks Skinty

I'm not able to pop to 2md home as we've had severe frosts and it's like an ice rink outside, it would be lethal going to 2nd home as it's slopes to get in / out. It's also been -5. We're now having bad storms, once that has passed this week I'll attend and assess damage. I'm hoping to be working it again by March 🤭

I'm actually very disappointed no one has stepped forward; there's absolutely no charge to them, not even to cover petrol. Shows the support I've given over the years means nothing.
    - I'm contemplating asking a mate who lives in G if she's interested and give her a full pamper of all the treatments I am able to offer. OR have a day trip and visit you (Skinty) bringing cake of course 😊

I actually have support and encouragement from my old E&W friends, the ones I've made in E since moving and everyone here. Goes without saying TomBo backs me 100%, aside from letting me practice on him; he'd be a great candidate for male waxing if I have to do a separate course 🤭

I'm fast learning who my real friends are.

I did pop to the beauty distributor yesterday. Must have made a impression as they remembered me. I picked up a few bits and bulk purchased my hair dye; salon bestie is unable to get a patch of grey to take the colour whereas I've always been able to.
    - they've taken my details and will pass them on to those with rooms to rent and will also ask their contacts.

    Thanks Skinty

Storms picked up again this afternoon, I'm commuting tomorrow 😮 and will sort my business phone while out; then I can get business cards.

Well, I've paid for my business insurance as I've got bookings over 2 days this week!

I'll empty my smaller trolley case and add wax / tint stuff. Just means I'm taking 1.5 trolleys to my 2nd client.

Once I've got these under my belt, my course Sunday and potentially have enough evidence to pass my previous course, I'll feel a lot better about looking for a salon to work from 😊
    - I'd keep these 2 clients as mobile visits as one's local and the other is near A&U, would book A and C2 for the same day.

I'm hoping all 3 will generate additional clients via word of mouth from their social circles.

Feels like things have jumped forward quite a bit today ☺️

  • Thank you Skinty 💕

Continuing the happy vibe, I've had another academy contact me tonight.  Threading course (£170) and nail art workshop (£60) dates are to be released next week. I'll book when they appear.

I've asked them to notify me when the pedi course (£180) is planned too.

That would just leave elec file (£160), which appears to be run monthly after I've found / passed another gel system (£TBC). Potentially man wax (£TBC) unless it is classed as being covered by my booked one. Potentially some form of body scrub course, but I'll speak with my tutor the weekend.

I've got waxing Sunday and lash lift / tint next month.

So close to having a large range of treatments, where I can create 'offer' packages too and I feel it'll all be in place by June. After that it's CPD to keep my knowledge updated 😮
