Thank you DIA and SH
Started late today as lack of sleep caught up with me and I grabbed a couple of hours. Trying hard to get on top of everything. Had to request a further extension to finish the last bit for my course.
Haven't got my weekend crumble made yet 😔
Totally enjoying building up my jewellery collection and should have it finished soon 🤭 I'd like an oversize dress ring, some amber bits and perhaps another couple of earrings. I'm currently trying to win a selection of necklaces for my pendants.
We had venison, barley and veg for tea 😋Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

September financial update:
Saved £519, now at £11569
Car pot £251
SIPP put £25 in
S&S ISA put £10 in
Holding account is at £10
Pamper account is down to £14
CC stands at £568
Mortgage O/P £200, down to £53,748
It was a bit spendy again in September as I've purchased storage and other bits for the flat. I'm also buying winter gifts for people.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
You're savings are looking fabulous. Your mortgage is coming down really well too. I love that you now have a decent pension too. Perhaps look into AVCs at work - as you may be able to take the lot tax free - and it could offer better value from a long term tax perspective than your separate SIPP. Just a thought.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SH, we're comfortable enough to buy 'fancy' meat, when it's at a decent reduced price 🤭
Of the savings, the dedicated mortgage EF reached 6m payments, which is a good safety blanket as I'm still not perm in this role.
My SIPP started out as being my early retirement fund. I've not given it much thought for a while, nor pensions in general, as I've had a lot going on; same as we all have the last 3 odd years! As life is more 'normal' now, and I've reached my other 'life goals' it's something I can look into, more so when the payrise arguing is resolved 😕
I've been following your AVC adventures, but not looked into what the deal is with mine; a lot hinges on if I make it to 2 years here and get a perm contract.
- just done a search and it brings up ARCs, APCs, AVCs and FSAVC; getting a headache already 😄
Currently I'm focused on getting savings and the mortgage to meet in the middle so I can fully clear that off. As I have been spending I've not increased the mortgage O/P yet, however, I plan to do so in the NY.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
I've saved the AVC info for reading at my leisure, thankfully it's simple and easy to understand.
Had a spendy adventure yesterday! Went to a new garden centre picked up 2 roses, an azalea, elephant garlic, various flowering bulbs and food goodies. After that D-d33 to drop some stuff to TomBo's work mate, we also had coffee and a good chinwag, then did shopping. Headed back and popped into one of my usual garden centres for ericaceous compost, manure, slate and pansies. Visited A&U for a catch up, coffee and spot of gardening. I popped to grab Chinese as TomBo emptied the car when we got home 🤭
If it stops raining today, I'll be potting the pansies in the neighbours garden; TomBo has already put a load of bulbs in which will burst into colour. I'll take out surplus strawbs from our garden and put them into trays ready for 2nd home, plant the flowering bulbs, repot the azalea, have a general tidy up and weed.
I'd also like to colour my hair, brows and have a little pamper.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Thanks Skinty and SH
Rain hasn't stopped yet, no gardening and probably none tomorrow based on the weather report.
I sorted all my jewellery and watches out, everything is in the right box. I've still got some jewellery to arrive. I'll order found a couple of fancy nose studs, any other necklaces I need and hopefully an oversized dress ring payday.
Also had a little pamper and some rest.
Tomorrow I'd like to put my smart office gear under the bed. Sort work outfits onto hangers so I can grab and get ready. Sort the rest of my wardrobe. Finish and submit my coursework. Colour hair and brows. I may even tidy up a bit more, I've been doing a little bit anyway.
