  • Thanks FP, SH, BD and Skinty

I've not messed with the calculators for a while and I took a 5 year fix for stability when buying the flat; got about 32 months left on it.

Took a long lunch and went to bed, got up and finished the rest of my time before logging off 🤭

Watered some of the garden this evening, didn't go to 2nd home as I'm doing about 5h there tomorrow.

My goodies have been delivered and I've organised all of them, on a temp basis. Put my hair in rods this evening and spritz with leave in conditioner. I am ready for bed.

Found this week to be very draining, hopefully it's just a mix of things, eg work, heat and broken sleep, and I'm not entering winter hibernation 😕

Tomorrow I'll have breakfast at 2nd home before getting stuck in, lash apt after lunch and home to rest.

Saturday I'll be having breakfast at 2nd home, doing a bit more on it and in the afternoon I'll tidy away / organise more of my clothes and rest.

I'll have to find time to colour my hair as I'd like to leave it in a lot longer this time. Also want to redo my nails and have a general pamper.

  • Thanks SH and DIA

I'm hoping it's just the heat, lack of sleep and amount of work I'm getting through as we're running with half staff if that at the mo.

I did have breakfast and spend the morning at 2nd home, only did sorting and have 2 more piles to go through and that's it done. Nice shower when I got home.

Lash apt went well. She used tape instead of the eye pads which made a huge difference. We've come to the conclusion my eyes don't like the pads. Booked and paid for my next apt in 3 weeks.

Popped to the CS afterwards. Got some DVDs, a cute little jute bag and a wallet. Spent £5.50.
    - I've moved all my cards to the wallet and binned my old purse as it was very tatty.

Had a nap when I got home and put my hair in rods when I got up, spritz with gel spray and I'll see how it looks tomorrow.

Forgot we are going to town tomorrow and bank the gift. I'll pop the the shop below while TomBo goes to the bank.

My survey company now has Pr1mark vouchers, I've got £20 to spend on more smalls. In theory there's enough change for some summer tights.

We had Chinese for tea, both have full bellies, and I'm sipping an iced creamy coffee alcohol beverage to finish up the own brand bottle. I've a couple of different liqueur bottles to try, it's served with fresh cream and ice or handmade ice cream for an indulgent tipple 🤭

  • Oooh this sounds lovely. I hope the fatigue is caused by the hot weather only and all this nice stuff will help you to rest a bit more.

I spent just over £70 in Pr1mark, incl the voucher. Got another pack of the bra's, which are more like 8oo8 tubes with straps and padding but are so comfortable. 2 packs of smalls, 1 pack of summer tights, jogging bottoms, fancy nighties, a mirror, ggu style winter boots, scarf to wrap my hair overnight when the curlers are in (worked well last night), hairband, wardrobe hanger space saver things and other bits. My arms were full as I never grabbed a basket.
    - I've disposed of my old nighties as they were what I purchased not long after moving up here. Very happy with all my purchases and will organise my wardrobe throughout the week.

TomBo got up last night, slept in the lounge, and I opened the bedroom window as I couldn't take the heat. It's been no cooler all day.

I've not done my hair colour but have taken it easy. Popped to 2nd home to water the GH. Came home, picked and ate strawbs / raspberries. Harvested some peas and onions, did a little weeding and decided that was enough 🤭

I popped to the local shop for veg, eggs, snacks, yoghurt and other bits as TomBo was cooking, opened the door and the smell of frying Tuscan sausage is made my belly rumble. There's also an apple (homegrown) and pear crumble baking in the oven; I'm having it with yoghurt.

Hopefully when everything has settled I'll bounce back as it's been a full-on year 😊
