Thanks SH and DIA
I've done over 40h already this week and need to work tomorrow. They recognise things are hard at the moment and for at least a few months more; unfortunately they never thought things through properly, took opinions or ideas from us, and all the foreseeable issues have arisen.
- thankfully tea was cooked when I walked through the door!
Filled the car up at £1.50 per litre, cheapest around while I'm out and about for work.
My little jewellery box arrived today, as did two of my pendants. I can start organising my good stuff.
The weather should be ok first thing, so I'll pop to 2nd home. When the rain comes I'll go home, do expenses and work. I also need to wrap TomBo's gifts and we'll be having Chinese for tea; need to decide what I'm having.
I've got my feet up but will make a cream liqueur drink, followed by a second one 🤫 unless I flake out soon 😕Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Sorry you're having to work such long hours. Not easy at the best of times. Glad Tombo is a help at home.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SH
I'm not happy with working on days I shouldn't be, I've done over 7h 'free' this week and it seems like even more work will be coming my way.
After work I went to 2nd home. Watered toms, checked on everything and straightened it all up as we had high winds yesterday. Did some weeding and was back home for lunch with TomBo.
Snuggled on my chair and had a nap.
Woke up and wrapped TomBo's gifts, handed them over and he said it's not today 🙈 cue me saying "you sure" 🤭 oooops ☺️
My P-nd0r- charms arrived and I'll add them to my bracelet.
Skies have totally opened up and TomBo is out getting the Chinese. We'll be watching classic films and having liqueur this evening.

Thanks Skinty, all could have been avoided with proper planning by above and the weather change isn't helping, nor are the nightmares when I do sleep.
- nearly finished my final exam, I'll be doing the last two bits first thing tomorrow.
I left the gifts out and he opened them on the correct day 🤭 we had steak for tea.
I've ordered some under bed storage, when it arrives I'll move my suits out the wardrobe and pack them away, put my PJs etc in another and the third with be duvets. I also ordered a shelving unit for the pantry to finish getting that organised.
I've started ordering and picking winter gifts for people.
Got an apple and pear crumble made, which will keep me going for a couple of days.

Crumble sounds gorgeous as does the steak.
Sounds like you were not out by much on the cake day then.
Good to be getting organised ready for winter too.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SH
1st breakfast is coffee, 2nd is crumble with yoghurt, 3rd is another coffee.
I'm not sure why I got the date wrong, but we've had an indulgent weekend.
My get up and go, got up and left quite early today. There's pressure from above to clear work NOW, even someone with years of experience wouldn't be up to date, let alone throwing me into it. I've had to request an extension for my course, so I won't be rid of that for a week. On top of that I've got to log CPD for my qualification.
Had a shower lunchtime, put moisturising sock things on after and worked most of my break.
Now I'm vegging out, feet up, waiting for food and TV.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Good you've been able to get an extension. Excellent it's almost done.

Thanks SH, I don't have any choice as I'm out a lot more; I've 'won' a laptop bag which will be easier for when I'm out. Prior to me being given this some of the work was shared between us all. When I took over I checked through the allocated work where it didn't show as being done or I couldn't tell what they'd done and there was so much missed. I've had to clear all of that too. It's just me at the moment doing it all when there should be three of us, plus the other work as we're so short staffed.
I've been to 2nd home the last few days, got some weeding done, harvested some goodies and helped B with some physical changes to their plot. As usual, my hands / arms are covered in nettle stings; I'm still using the prescribed cream and wrapping bandages / plasters.
My 1K3A order arrived. I've put all my smart office wear into one under bed storage, need to stuff it under the bed. Another has had PJs, nighties, bed / slipper socks put in it and that's under the bed; told TomBo the others are available for duvets and whatever. Need to straighten out my wardrobe (rail part). Put the shelving together, stuffed it in the pantry and organised everything that was in there so we can see what we've got / need to buy.
- shelving was hard to build, at times I put my full weight on it to get the holes lined up. Ended up with a burst blister on my palm which is a bit sore still.
Had to register all my CPD today. Somehow I've managed over 55h. I'll definitely be logging it as I go along from now on.
Tomorrow I have to finish my work course final, which will free up a bit of mental space.
I'd like to get my jewellery boxes up and running, got a gorgeous s.steel watch (one day I'll get a proper silver one), a couple of P-nd0r- spacers and a stunning locket which is a bit posh for every day use and I'm hoping to win a smaller one for daily wear. My tog is looking into how small the printer can do a couple of the wedding pics; I'll have my fave of us two and my fave of TomBo as all the lockets I'm looking at have space for two pics.
I've purchased some earrings as I've been wearing studs for a while and wanted something a bit fancy for visiting family, days out etc.
I'm also sorting things for the CS as a new animal one opens next week ☺️Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Work has upped since my last visit.
I'm pleased crumble is happening
Your CPD hours are impressive. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
