Thank you JGB, Skinty, SH and DIA
We haven't had the reception yet as we were too full from lunch; we'll have it tonight. As you probably guessed that's why I did the food shop at sparkies. Our wedding cake is C0l1n the cat3rp1llar super hero; he has a mask and cape!
I forgot to say, the hair and makeup woman has asked me to do modelling for her.
- loved the false lashes so much I'll be getting them done as 'permanent' ones and will speak with the salon next week.
We've been out today, hubby 🤭 got some bits for working with wood, I got reduced price lupins (£4.50e) and lavender (50p e) for 2nd home and we've handmade ice cream in the freezer.
I'll be popping to 2nd home in a bit, clear a section, get my plants in and scatter some seeds. I'll water the toms at the same time, saves me going back down again this evening.
Nothing has changed bar a dress up, day out, ring, certificate, photos and a new name 🤗
I set a £1k budget for the whole day, to cover everything and will do final costings over the next few days.
Life feels very surreal at the moment and I'm having so much fun 😊😊😊Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.8 -

Thank you OG!
Final costings for the wedding and receptions; we're having another tonight as still loads of food to get through 🤭
My entire outfit £44.33
- Broken down as £12 basque, £3.19 smalls, £4.65 tights, £6 dress, £4 jacket, £4 pillbox veil, 99p bag, £9.50 shoes.
Dress alteration £70
Hair / make up £90
Bouquet / 4x buttonholes and all bits to make them eg flowers, ribbon, charms etc £30.39
Wedding ring £80
Pearl earrings and necklace the maker gave me a bracelet as a wedding gift £18.35
Hubby's outfit, already owned, £0
Hubby's hair and beard £15
Ceremony and additional certificate £175
Photographer £350
Food and drink, restaurant / receptions, £144
Taxis £102
Total came to slightly more than the budget, however that was expected due to me having hair and makeup done.
I've already purchased two photo albums £1.50 and 99p for us and MIL, I already have a gorgeous photo frame which I'd picked up in a CS months ago. There'll be the additional cost of getting photos printed, approx £100 to fill both albums and provide two larger ones for frames.
All in all, I'm very happy with what was spent and got some bargains to create my outfit. The alterations were expensive due to the style of dress and the fact I had the front shortened to my height, leaving the back to create a train.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -
It sounds like the perfect day, Mrs Tombo.
Many, Many Congratulations and good wishes to you both for the future. XXX
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy5 -
What a wonderful example to those who believe weddings have to cost thousands!Congratulations. Have a wonderful life together!5

Thank you Chrystal and BD.
It was our perfect dream day, anything else wouldn't have been about us, nor would it have been as relaxed. As it is the photos show the fun, love and bond. Even the photographer said it's the best one she's done as it was all about us and what we wanted our day to be.
NYE's eve I asked if we were getting married and agreed to pick a date later in the year. That date came, we picked a date, time, booked and paid and booked to give notice the same week; hence trip to the city. I had 95 days to organise and pay for our wedding, some parts were decided / booked the week before.
- all of this was going on then I was then given my allotment and started that new qualification!
We even found out the day before we could have music, simple ceremonies usually don't. I picked one song for signing the register but didn't have it playing as we were enjoying ourselves so much.
Most of my outfit/ jewellery was previously loved, and 3bay is where I got nearly everything with a few unusual bits from 3ts3y, which helped make the money go further. I did ask hubby several times if he wanted a new outfit or anything, however he was happy with what was in his wardrobe; believe me he looked fantastic.
We're on to our 3rd reception day and hopefully the cake will get cut and eaten later.
