Thanks SH
The king-size is great, well made, very sturdy and considering we've a double mattress on it, it's not moved. I ordered the double directly from the same company.
- it's currently with the courier, I expect it will arrive in a few days, but we won't be putting it together until the weekend.
Returned the DVD player no problems, just waiting for the refund to my card. The new one arrives Tuesday and for now we're using TomBo's PC to watch the films as it's connected to the TV.
- Forgot to say I also got a Pilates DVD, so can do that when the new player is here.
I've created a shared spreadsheet for our DVD collection as we can check if we've already got something while in the shops.
Went back to Friday's charity shop today and as I'd got on so well with one of the volunteers he kept some films to one side. We purchased another load and a interesting piece of glass; kind of shaped like a conch but without the spiked parts. TomBo paid £16.
- added the new DVD's to the list.
He also kept the most amazing walking stick to one side too, it's got an adjustment for walking on snow / ice and gripping cost me £3.50.
- I'll drop my emergency spare up next week and any other bits I sort out to donate.
I'll be emptying out / tidying the TV unit this week and getting the DVD's put in it. Long-term we'll get the main lounge cupboard taken out and redone floor to ceiling with loads more shelves to store them all!
Lodged a not received my peeler, said I still wanted it and the company refunded me ☹️ I'll find another one to order from.
TomBo volunteered me to visit another butcher on my day off, until I highlighted the weight of everything he wants, instead we'll be doing a delivery and placing the order tomorrow.
We had chippy night and have a few films selected. I've got my feet up.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

I'm naturally low tech so the idea of lots of DVDs and a player sounds great to me.
Glass sounds interesting.

Thanks SH and DIA
The glass is very pretty and is displayed on our coffee table 😊
I've ordered a few more clothing items, a couple of clutch bags, shoes, modern curlers for soft waves etc.
The infinity thumb ring and black slinky evening dress arrived today. I'm wearing the ring and the dress is for family gatherings, fancy dates out etc.
I've got v-day organised, just waiting for one more gift to arrive; got TomBo a cat keyring, tie with cats on and hopefully the cat moneybox will turn up this week.
Our new player arrives tomorrow, no confirmed delivery date yet for the bed but provided it's here by Friday we can set it up the weekend and organise the bedroom again!
TomBo placed the butcher order and added a gf pie for me to try.
My to do list this week is get the TV unit sorted and DVDs filed, sort the bedroom and have a general tidy up, have a nice pamper and experiment with make up and hairstyles; I've been looking at pictures and YT video's.
Seems like this med combo is doing me good. Although I still get tired easily, it's early days and I'll happily be like this for years instead of what I've been like 😊Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Thank you Skinty, there's a lot of positive things going on at the moment, which is good. I also think this med combo is making a difference.
The new bed arrived yesterday, we're fixing it together the weekend and then I can straighten the bedroom out again.
I've emptied out the TV unit, altered the shelves, got rid of some stuff and all the DVD's are in the unit; we've enough space for double the amount we already own 🤭
I'm planning a chilled out day tomorrow, shower, pamper, rest and watch a film TomBo would never want to sit through; just have to decide which one.
Although, if I have a shower first thing I could quickly do the T shop late morning and then watch a film early afternoon. I'll see what happens when I get up.
Currently sat down, feet up as I've done enough for today ☺️Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
I've lost another 1lb and TomBo knows not to buy me biscuits etc as I'm determined to lose the weight this year.
Had a slight change of plan as I'm waking up at silly times and quickly jumped into bed for a few hours of broken sleep when TomBo got up.
I've been to the charity shop and picked up various DVD's and box sets, cost £10.
- I'll add them to my spreadsheet tomorrow.
Went to T, picked up various fruits, veg, tinned toms, tinned beans (borlotto etc), wraps, cat treats, cupboard items etc, spent £41.
I've eaten some of the fruit as a late lunch and will be eating it each day.
All the shopping is packed away and I've done the washing up.
TomBo misread when the butcher delivery was being made, it's next Friday 🙈 so he'll be popping to our usual tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be pamper and shower day, dismantling the old and making the new bed, then organising the bedroom; hopefully not much else!
Got my feet up and resting for the remainder of today and we're having soup night.
