    Thanks DIA and SH

I'm pottering round the flat a bit more each day as a way of keeping moving and doing a mix of 5:2 / 4:3 eating. It's giving me steady weight loss and reducing my size as I'm tracking that too.

I've not decided where I'm going on my day off and will have to look see what's around.

Had shin of beef with veg casserole for tea.

    Thanks Skinty, DIA and SH

Still haven't decided where to go yet, TomBo has already asked me and I've still got the money for coffee he gave me last week! I'll have a think tomorrow and check the weather.

I've had a bit of a spendy month buying jewellery, make up, nail files, scarfs, shawl and other bits. As always most things are previously loved to keep costs down.

Moved a bit of money into savings, paid more off the CC and it's payday in the morning so I can move more money to savings 🤭

Having chunky beef chilli and rice for tea.

  • Thanks DIA, I may have treated myself a bit too much last month, but I've now got everything I was after (I hope!)

Yesterday I ordered a DVD player, they're so small now, and it arrived this morning about an hour after I got up. It's connected to the TV and we'll be going round charity shops for films and TV shows to play in it.

I also opened a bottle of rose shl0er fizzy pop thingy, it was like booze supping free rose wine. I had a sip this morning but it felt so wrong, as if I was drinking first thing, however I'll finish the bottle off tomorrow but use a wine glass for extra poshness 😊

Moved most of my planned savings to the respective accounts this morning and will send a bit more each week. I've also paid more of the CC off.

I was asked to cook this afternoon and went for a nap. When getting up I immediately made a Chinese chicken curry with rice and ordered him out the kitchen 🤭

Tonight TomBo asked me about buying the double version of our new king-size bed, which is annoying as I wouldn't have moved so much to savings!

So, I've changed my plans for tomorrow and will stay in my village to keep costs down and order the bed before I go out. I'll have a shower and pamper when I get back.

It's double paydays next month 🤫

    Had a local adventure today.

Went into one of my favourite charity shops to find DVDs, they were doing 1 for £1 or £10 for £2. I got 40 plus 2 box sets. The guy is going to look through the back to see if there's any more that I'm after and I'll pop back the weekend 😊 Spent £14
    - TomBo has yet to notice the full bag or look at what I got us, him and me.

Shopped in T, got veg, milk, biscuits for TomBo, vitamins and fruit juices for me, with the usual bits and bobs. Spent £25.46.

Called into A1d1 on the way back, grabbed grapes and various coffees. Spent £11.06.

The new bed has been ordered, got 10% off bringing that down to £69.29, hopefully it will arrive as quickly as the other did. It's definitely well made 🤭
    - our king-size will be donated to the charity shop we buy our furniture from, we'll box it back up and take it to them.

I've filleted chicken as we're having wraps for tea, hung the washing and now have my feet up.

TomBo is taking me somewhere tomorrow after we've grabbed things from PaH.

I feel we're in a good financial position now and don't feel like we have to save every penny, although I'm still saving quite a bit.

    Another nice day out.

I made it from the flat to the car, from the car to the first shop and back to the car without using my walking stick. Used it after that as I couldn't do any more unaided walking, but it's the most I've done in a few years!

Got about 50 DVDs from the (furniture) charity shop, only got charged £10.

TomBo went to PaH as I nipped down to 8&M to get a drink and I picked up a few cans of 'fun' drinks (cherry, pineapple and cream soda).

Lastly, we went to the Buff-lo F-rm shop, got beef, buffalo, chicken, buffalo mozzarella, bread, plus other bits and I've a strawberry filo for later, spent £50 and I've been told I'll be doing a shopping trip each month when doing my food shop run 🤭

We'll be returning the DVD player. It's got dreadful sound, almost like actors with a low or deep voice were filmed talking under water. Picture quality was great. I've ordered a much better one from that green two letter company and it's arriving Tuesday. Cost £113 incl delivery.

We're eating a lot of Mexican food as TomBo has found a good chef on YT and he's enjoying making the meals, buying various unusual dried chilli's and peppers.
    - we are looking into restaurant's in the city for a luxury and indulgent day out later in the year.

Tea was a spicy pork and pineapple casserole, not swimming in sauce, with rice.
