They should put it right. Most shops are v good like that I hope so. I hope the mirror is cheaper than expected. Oh dear. One of those days hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. I bet the shop will sort your plants. swx

Oh MF it’s so annoying when items are missing from your order isn’t it. Especially when you have been so looking forward to it. Plus the car damage no wonder you feel down.

Hope your order gets sorted tomorrow & car not as bad as expected

Gut feeling this morning said it was going to be a bad day. I've got loads going on, lots to do and I've had more stuff dropped round. The keys to the old flat have to go back very soon.

I feel like I'm running out of time with getting organised before I'm back at work, back to feeling constantly tired etc.

The shop should, but have admitted they don't have time to deal with emails, phone messages, FB messages etc due to processing orders. They've probably already sold out of the herbs as they go quick. I'm annoyed with OH for not checking as I emailed him the order receipt.

I priced the mirror / housing up, for a second hand one, when he called me to say what had happened! Then it's trying to fit it or pay someone to. My OH isn't into cars and I don't have the agility / dexterity to do things like that anymore.
-- my car budget isn't healthy at the moment as I've only just started topping it up again.

One of the things I listed has been taken today. Need to sort and list the stuff I'm selling.

    Just ate three chocolate bars!

Sorry your day didn't go as planned. Try to focus on how much you have achieved. You have done wonders already. Anyone would be tired from everything you and OH have been doing. Cut yourselves some slack. Something will sort re the mirror and the plants.

    Shouldn't you be eating cake!

I've run out of space in the spare room, the stuff has now invaded the bedroom and lounge.

Will need to unpack and organise before / after work, then tuck all the plants away ready for the trees to be felled Saturday, do more unpacking after.

OH has prewarned three neighbours to not go near the gardens Saturday morning, need to catch the other two. One is next to my plot, the other is the last plot.

Everything will be okay after a sleep!

Right then productive day, with half day of work too.

Unpacked all my pictures and paintings first thing. Decided which ones of mine I'm painting over and put them to one side.
So far three pictures are hung, ones I picked up from charity shops over the last few years.
-- one is an abstract, has a forest type feel to it and I've put that in the hall. It's an original oil piece.
-- two are tulips; single flower small canvas / several turlips large canvas, both in the lounge.
Mass produced, print on canvas. I've not seen them in the shops, can't be the current fashion.
-- I've a set of five (print on canvas) blossoms to hang up, will put them on the chimney breast wall in my bedroom. Want to put another coat of paint on it first else I never will when they go up.

I'm so pleased I've put these up as it's made a huge difference to how the lounge / hall look and feel.

I've been unpacking and listing things for sale / free on social media, even put a general message on my own page saying to my friends if they need anything ask and I will see if I have it 😂 feels like I could open up a pop up shop or do a car boot sale just to clear everything out and still have enough for charity!

Tackled the tallyboy, 2.5 drawers of paperwork sorted through, only 1.5 to go. I've swapped as much to online bills / accounts etc as I can aside from HMRC as that's great for ID purposes. I told myself I don't need physical paperwork and online is fine. Only kept it all in case it was needed for the mortgage application.
-- once I've had / paid closing bills for the old flat I'm getting rid of that stuff.
-- the debt folder I'm keeping for 10 years, as I did F&Fs and I don't trust them not to sell on even though they said they won't.
-- will sift through filing box and see what I don't need eg old payslips, old statements etc.
-- I will be keeping P45s, P60s, pension plan details and the current year papers, everything to do with my home, car and anything not online etc. Plus anything I need to claim the PPI tax deduction.

Anything else you would suggest I keep?

OH put the kitchen shelves up. Think I will end up replacing them before the end of the year with decent shelves, certainly won't be buying any more for the other places I want shelves put!

He has been looking at various garden chair designs and is going to make me some. Found a few straightforward ones with how to make guides. Should save me a bit as I really liked the ones costing £200+ each 🙈

Spoke with the garden centre, waiting for an email back and was told they are extremely busy; which I know as I follow them on social media and said in my email.  I overheard them say I'm not the only one who had a short order over the last few days!

Will be back on my diet from next month as hopefully I will have unpacked and be organised!

Having kebab tonight and not sure what to watch yet as I've watched all the Ali3n films over the last few evenings.

The pictures sound lovely. I have 2 canvases with poppies sound similar to your tulips. Great minds think alike about the kebab ☺️

I've just had oven chips! As don't know where the nearest kebab shop is! lol
What a day for you. I think you have made the most of it and should congratulate yourself for all you have done. All that sorting and selling, unpacking, painting blimey. What you have done in the last two weeks is what it took me a year and a half to do after I moved in. Enjoy the kebab and have some more treats.
