I cancelled my sub-prime CC yesterday, as they've put the interest rate up yet again and I've not used it in a few years since having my mainstream one.
I'm full of the joys of spring knowing I'm not working today, which shows the current job is not the right fit for me.
Just savouring a coffee and then I'll crack on with my coursework 😀Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -
All of T2 has been submitted, some have already been returned to me and I've updated them. Just waiting for the remaining ones to come back so I can update those and return the lot for rechecking. I don't want to confuse me or the tutor having random ones flying between us.
I've also done half of T3 and can finish the rest off the weekend.
The positive I'm drawing on with this module is part of it will help me when I'm doing the exams for my remaining four modules; not the content or material, but the way a certain thing is done.
I didn't update my CV, so carrying that forward and as outstanding to do, together with applying for new roles; I've got time with closing dates.
Felt so good not working today, but unfortunately it's business as usual tomorrow, at least it's the weekend after that 🤗Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Sounds like a part time role would really give you the extra time to help with study. Is there anyway you could approach that an ask for slightly more hours to bridge the pay gap a bit?

Thanks LW2G, there wouldn't be the option of increasing the hours, I'd need to get a second PT role which would defeat the purpose. I'm undecided about it and need to find the proper spec as it's potentially a huge step backwards and could be quite damaging to my career.
I've had more feedback from my tutor this evening. TomBo watered the garden as I got on making the tweaks. Hopefully the last two will be returned by the time I finish work tomorrow so I can turn those round and submit all of them and finish off T3 too.
I don't know how I've managed to catch up but hopefully I'll finish this module with everyone else.
If ever I say about doing a 6m course in a short timeframe, remind me of what I've just been through!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Glad your tutor is now being helpful. Good that you had a day off too. I'd try and stick this job out until the end of the contract and then leave. Not too much longer now and it's bankrolling your future. That's how I'd try and look at it. Only you know whether it's tolerable or not.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SHThe tutor was always helpful, it's just been nearly 20 years since I studied this topic 🤫 I had hoped to have the rest of my work back so I could get it updated as I can't sleep.
My new work flows better and it's clear I know what I'm talking about, contrast that with what I did when first starting T2 when I couldn't remember what I learned all those years ago and it's quite embarrassing; shouldn't be as I've not used that information nor would I ever work in the area it relates to. Had the underlying subject matter been the example we were being taught off, I would have aced it weeks ago as that was the area I worked in for years.
I agree with what you say about my current role, however I honestly can see it getting extended. My major concern relates to how it's affecting my health as this is a new type of pain I'm experiencing, in an existing damaged area. I'm genuinely worried about whether it will return to what it was and how long it will take. The longer I'm getting dragged into the office, the more damage it's doing. I've sat here ever since I've started the job wondering if this is the one which sees me forced into PT or never being able to work again; having just one day off isn't enough.
I've had a banana as a midnight snack 😀 it's so peaceful, but really warm even with windows open.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Hope today passes quickly for you. It’s a difficult position to be in and I’m not sure I could continue in a job causing such pain and potential damage. However only you know if it’s worth it in the long run0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks Skinty
I went to bed at 6am and was working by 7.30. It's definitely not worth it but I'll see what happens when I'm purely WaH and have minimal contact with B1.
On a positive note, tutor has returned my remaining work and it's only a few tweaks required. In theory I should have T2 back to him by 6pm and that will just leave T3 to finish.
There's 5 weeks until the next module officially starts, however I'll have a couple of days break and get on with printing/ saving everything and begin it. Starting sooner means I've 5 months to learn and revise before the exam 😀
I've the windows wide open as it's 24°.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Had a long meeting with B1, emphasised how I need future training to be done and was told I'll only have a couple of hours in the office next week and then be let to my own devices, WaH from then on.
I attended a talk relating to another qualification I'm considering, but I need to look into it a little more and hatch a plan to save the money for it over the next few years; the course and exam costs are ridiculous.
I've played music after work, quickly made tweaks to my coursework and it's back with my tutor.
- I was singing along to the music and felt an overwhelming urge to cry when some of the songs came on, so I let the tears flow. This feels real, I'm going to pass the module, can move on to modules I enjoy and be a step closer to being fully qualified with each one 🤗
Tomorrow I'll be finishing T3 and submitting it.
I've got my feet up, watching TV and had chips, salad and hot sauce for tea.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
