Part time work is something to consider if it helps your health. Are there as many job opportunities for part time as full time or would you be better taking something full time then maybe asking to reduce hours once you are settled in the job ? Have a lovely day off today

    Thanks SH and Skinty

I've P1P nagging me. I feel I can still do a lot, but pay the price for doing it. I'm also aware there's lots I restrict/ don't do due to my health.

There's not much PT with what I want to do, my line of thinking is get in, showcase my talents and then look to reduce hours in a few years. It's why I'm contemplating the LA roles as they'd be more open to it than my career firms.

It was supposed to be sunny for a few hours this morning, but the wind woke instead.

TomBo is cooking the usual spag bol, different chicken meals, roasting the beef joint and making his own work lunches, while also making a rice bread; saw it on a YT video last night and it looked great.

I'll cook a pot of spicy lentil, veg and Italian meat soup when he's finished. I'm also going to do a lentil and homegrown veg soup; have to pop downstairs to grab some kale, leeks, carrots and a turnip.

I've had a double choc mocha and will have a mini pamper in a bit.

I hope you find the right work/life balance.
    Your soups sound delicious.
    Enjoy your mini pamper.

Thanks DIA, so do I or just a role where management know what they're doing, let me do what I'm being paid for and not load me up with a million silly tasks for no extra money.

Cooked my spicy lentil soup (more like a daal soup) and the Italian meat, tomato and lentil soup. All are tubbed up ready to nuke each lunchtime.

I grabbed herbs and veg when I went outside. Managed a shower, but no pamper. Mainly had my feet up all day.

TomBo popped to the local shop for milk, came back with GF biscuits too.

We had roast beef, mashed potatoes with leeks and a jus (smidge of gravy), chocolate for pudding and a glass of milk for supper.

Food sounds lovely although I don’t know how you manage with just a smidge of gravy 🤷‍♀️ I love lashings of gravy 😆
Glad you rested with feet up. Hope it helped

Very nearly didn't Skinty, it needed a lot more as I think the dairy in mash was forgotten 🙈

Woke in the middle of the night, excruciating pain and stayed very close to the shower room 💩💩, didn't want to go in today as I don't feel right but it's obviously stress related. Thankfully people are leaving me alone so far as I look dreadful and am exhausted.

Hopefully I'll be out of here soon.

Ended up going home and became best friends with the shower room. I've some form of tummy bug / IBS flair up, which I'm finding extremely draining.  I managed a 30 minute nap earlier, before being woken with stomach pains. Negative test, precaution for obvious reasons.

All bills and SO savings came out.

It was spag bol for tea, mine is still in the kitchen.

I'm snuggled with a hot water bottle and wrapped up. I'll try going to bed in a moment, but expect to be on the sofa and at one with the shower room all night.

Thanks SH, sorry we posted at the same time. I should start to hear back this week.

I stayed in bed, but frequently got woke with stomach pains and had to go. I've ruled out food poisoning as TomBo is fine. Ruling out IBS as I normally have hot / cold sweats / want to be sick / dizzy / feel like passing out and the pain is usually a lot worse. Only things left are a random bug or stress and I'll do another test later to keep ruling C out.

TomBo has taken the car today, I'm snuggled on the sofa with sleeping cat; she was nurse all night and came to bed to keep an eye on me.

If I can get my head a bit clearer I'll apply for the LA job. I'm conscious the closing date is fast approaching and this job really appeals to me.

Might watch a few films 😊
