    Thanks SH

I found my old application for my last job and am working partly off that as a guide.

I've typed a load of stuff for the personal statement, expanding points from my CV. Went through the job spec and wrote loads of things down. Just have to go through another document and write a load of bumph for that. Then somehow bring it all together to create the final version.

I know I could do the job, but these type of applications are so not my strong point. Not helped by the ticking clock I can hear in my head while doing it.

Glad you have the new computer. I am also doing an application that I will send off today. Did a few hours last night. It isn't due in until the end of next week but I need it gone today. They take up so much time.

    Thanks Skinty and DIA

Couldn't switch off thinking of how to word the supporting statement and I was up until 8am this morning, silly me didn't put fingers to keyboard though and I've got 12 hours to get it done. At least for the next one with the LA I'll have the bones of it and just need to tweak as appropriate.

Better make a start on it!

So glad to hear you're feeling better.  Sounds as though it was a rough time.  (((hugs)))

Keeping my fingers crossed that a new(much better) job will appear very quickly for you.
Can I ask which laptop you got?  I'm in the market for a new one :)

I got the len0v0 ide@ pad 3, not cheap at 1p under £350, but being a full-size laptop, with a proper keyboard / number pad and a 17.3in screen it's so much better to use.

A few years ago I had a cheap hP one, switching it on the first time it asked me to update it, then piped up and said there wasn't enough memory to do it. We all know how memory hungry m-soft is and I didn't want to encounter that again.

Anyhow, my tummy did go again this afternoon and I'm thinking it can't handle chicken and chips from the chippy.

TomBo did the shopping, came back with the nice GF bread and T GF bakew3lls; needless to say I've tried two of them 🤫

Finally submitted the application, with 4 hours to spare. I only used 3 lines from the 5 pages I typed up to help me do the personal statement and I rewrote them. Reading the finished article I'm really impressed with it and it came in at just under a page.

Somehow I drew on my numerous professional roles, the stuff I've done up here and created a masterpiece, however I meant every word of it.

There's two FTC posts, one FT and the other works out to 4 days. If offered I'd prefer the latter as it's a longer FTC, but I wouldn't decline the former as they're quite niche roles and could open up a whole new world. Can't get my hopes up, but I do want one of them!

We had pasta with mushrooms, onions and homegrown kale, topped with a hint of deli cheese and homegrown parsley.

    Thanks Skinty

My new laptop is going to come in handy as I've already been offered an interview for the LA role, via video conferencing 😃😃😃😃

I honestly thought I'd fluffed the application as I re-read the info and barely put anything in from the job spec as I focused on the people spec, but thankfully my CV covered a lot; I always submit one going back nearly 20 years as that captures my previous career and showcases what I can do.

They provide a load of information to assist with the process and I'll have to knuckle down for the rest of this week practicing! However, tonight I'll let it sink in and relax.

Have to dye my hair and brows the weekend, dig out my best suit and find right to work documents.

I popped to the shop after work, grabbed some GF bread, milk, chicken and spent just over £7; cash in purse.

Got my feet up and I'm not sure what's for tea or what we'll be watching later 😄
