The ice cream in your update was the part that called to me. What flavour did you go for?

    Thanks Skinty and SH

Ice cream is being collected Saturday, I'll have raspberry ripple 😄

Work is just getting sillier, however it's refreshing grabbing 2 minutes, seeing a job spec get emailed to me and replying yes, put me forward.

Had my agency interview tonight, lovely woman and very apologetic for last week. Said the role I approached her over would suit me and the company funds courses, encourages progression where staff want it and fully understood why I stepped back for a few years.

Told her I'm aiming for the big companies as once I've exhausted those I can work downwards until I get a role. Explained if I started at the small ones, I'd get a job quickly but find it hard to climb up to the big ones. Also explained that my overall goal is to achieve what I what I was trying to before, with a view to seeing how far I wanted to carry on up afterwards. Totally agreed with me and said there are roles I could walk straight back into and soon be back where I was or just below, again understood why I jumped at this one she has as its a big step in the right direction of my plan.

Joking said I'll look out for her email at by 10am offering me an interview when the company has read my CV 🤭

I needed that injection of positivity, support and encouragement today. Hopefully next week I'll start getting feedback from the applications and possibly interview invites.

We had spicy chicken and rice for tea.

    Thanks SH and amysb86

I'm preserving my accrued holiday for interviews and for a bit extra money after I leave. Believe me with each day it gets harder not to use some of it but when I booked some off the other week they got huffy and none of my work was done.

Spent an hour in the garden when I got home. Watered everything and had a good look to see how it was all growing.

My smile was huge as I savoured every blossom, strawberry flower, chive bud, tulips and so many spud plants and seedlings popping up, all with the sun on me. I wanted to stay down longer but I needed to sit down and knew I wouldn't make it up the stairs if I did. For that hour I was alive and human.

We had soup for tea. I've just devoured a whole punnet of strawberries; so big, vibrant red, fresh and sweet 🤭

Long weekend plans are getting bigger! I'll be transplanting loads more marigolds, delivering a few pots of them, weeding, sowing seeds and general garden appreciation. Ice cream buying, TV, job applications and eating. I'll try and slot in a pampering session. I've told TomBo he is making the tandoori chicken too 😊

Weather was sunny, but a bit chilly, when I got home, went straight upstairs.

I've joined up to gr-ze (gf of course) as a monthly order from my pocket money. Got a delicious Friday treat every week as I'll take one of the little boxes when packing my lunch.
    - Gave sibling a voucher so they get a free one and I do too 😊

I opened up another current account, that will hold my petrol money / commute costs and I'll keep it floating around £500 as that way I can go on trips whenever I want without having to find the money to pay for them.

It's the same group I'm already with but different a bank so I can open their £1k, 3.25% regular saver 😄
    - pushes me up to 12.37% interest against all my savings accounts 🤭

Got paid a day early. Repaid my home EF, as I used it to pay the drain company, and moved money into various savings. I will do the rest tomorrow and post an end of month update the weekend.

We had spag bol, I had it with GF pasta.

Thanks SW, I should hear something within the next week or so, I've enough applications out!

In my eagerness to move money to savings and get them built up, I sent the EF to my car pot 🙈 don't need to pay into that for a few months now.

I'll submit utility readings the weekend, see how much they'll cost me each month and I can rejig my budget. I've increased it already, but probably not enough for the standing charge elements.

I'm doing the normal shopping after work tomorrow, one less thing to do the weekend and it means it'll just be a fun long one instead 😄
