    Thanks SH and Skinty

I do actually like most of my colleagues, it's the D's causing issues and there's no manager / leader stepping up out of them, just pure clashes and power trips. It comes to something when my colleagues are asking what I want them to do next.

The role I mentioned in my previous post is running a team; supervising, training, supporting them with some hands on doing the workload.

I've accepted I'll be commuting back to E, via bus or train. I'll requalify and currently looking up where I can gain CPD, either online, breakfast clubs or after work and begin to get some under my belt, together with reading my books.

What I'm doing is looking for roles in admin, part of a team or management, all back within my former career, with prospects in the same firm or moving to another taking the next step up the ladder.

Yesterday I instantly spotted the cherry blossoms when I reached my garden, then saw the flowers forming on the gooseberries and the strawberry flowers look like the ones which form the berries, unlike what they've been putting out all winter.
    - more baby strawberry plants are beginning to pop up.

I did some weeding, a bit of watering and had a sit outside to appreciate what has grown so far.

Today I'll be harvesting some carrots, kale, beetroot leaves for the furballs and leeks for SIL, taking them round in a bit.

I'm hoping to have a bit of a tidy up so I have a fully useable patio this year, sow more strawberry seeds and do a little weeding.

I've started making a natural fertiliser for the strawberries, I already have one for everything else.

The last of my pink carnations will be going into compost, that's about 6 weeks I got out of them in a vase; the red ones look great and I'll see what colour the shop has when I get paid to do a mix again.

I have found some courses and CPD, I'll look to have a dedicated account for funding this side of my life.

Tomorrow I'll do a bit of DIY painting and a lot of reading. I'll also rest up as my body can't take much more.

We pottered round the garden this morning, went for a little drive, dropped goodies off at SILs and popped to T.
    - I slipped gluten free pasta and wraps into the basket, TomBo slipped normal doughnuts in 🤨

There was quite a good range of GF food, priced a lot better than they used to be and I'm going to try a GF free diet for a bit, see how I get on.
    - for £10 I can get pasta, wraps, crackers, fruit bread and biscuits or snack bars; TomBo said I'm on my own eating it 🤭

We had another gardening session this afternoon, I've done some weeding and sowed the last of my strawberry seeds.

Tea was pasta with a homemade vegan veg and tomato sauce, TomBo had all 4 doughnuts.

I've got my feet up and about to watch a film.

  • Some GF stuff is a reasonable price and some is extortionate. DS’s girlfriend is GF she gets GF soy sauce & oyster sauce and lots of other stuff that I wouldn’t even think has gluten in it.

I got GF stuff for her xmas dinner from Mr T including Yorkshire puds, sausages & profiteroles. Some stuff was fresh & some in the freezer section.  Hope the stuff you have bought helps settle your ibs.

    Thanks Skinty
I spent a while yesterday going through the T website at all the free from and GF foods, I thought they'd come down in price and there was a bigger variation. I knew gluten was in a lot of things as ex's family member had celiac d.

There's bound to be a few food items I have an intolerance to / makes my IBS worse, all I can do is keep substituting items and see what I can uncover.

I woke when TomBo go up, next woke up when he switched the mains shower button off. I'm currently washing cat blanket but don't have the energy to do much else.

I'm hoping to do the washing up, have a shower and cook lentil soup as I don't have anything GF for work lunches. Aside from that it's rest and films!

Hope you got to rest. I did today after a busy time with wider family and travel yesterday.

I have flowering fruit trees - although I haven't looked for my strawberry plants...

Thanks SH, look for the strawberries!

I made my soup and managed a shower, that was it. Did have the energy to apply for any more jobs but have looked at regular PT ones as I'm keeping my options open.

Didn't want to get up today. Thankfully the sun is already out.

    Better get ready.

Hit a huge fatigue wall today and haven't snapped out of it yet. Thank goodness it's a short week.

I've got two agency calls this week and need to get a couple of direct applications in. I have sent a few emails off enquiring about courses.

I needed to get milk and pop after work, but couldn't face the drive to A1D1 or T, nor could I find energy to park up and cross the road to the shop before carrying on home. TomBo went out this evening to get them.

Had my feet up since getting in, watched some more old sci fi while eating chilli and rice.

  • Hope you feel better after some rest this evening. I always find shorter weeks more of a struggle somehow. Good luck with the agency calls
