LOL at chippy night with fridges full. We've all done it.

The flowers sound nice. Good luck with the rest of the seedlings.

Thanks SH, it was totally illogical to me!

More tomato seedlings have popped up and one chilli has appeared. The creative room gets a lot of sun year round and is a good room for early seedlings.

Forgot how nice it is getting home and smelling cooking food as I open the door.

Cat had gone to bed just before I got in and looked tired when I woke her getting changed, eventually got up and stared through the lounge door until TomBo opened it; she's too much of a princess to push doors wider herself.

No additional plans yet for the long weekend, however I've a BH day off very soon and will do a bit of DIY painting.
    - I'll be learning how to fit lino soon as now I'm DF again I can afford to continue doing the flat makeover 😃

Had Chinese chicken curry and rice for tea, snowballs for pudding.

Exciting about DF and about new lino. My cat is like yours. We have an internal cat flap in one door but it still wants the door opening for it half the time.

    Thanks SH and RL

Cat runs round the bedroom, jumps on to a little stool and hops on the bed. If I dare get out for one last bathroom visit, she's in my space in a split second.

As I'm going to have proper money spare each month, I'll start doing mini makeovers again.

I still want to buy door handles, fill the floor tiles and lino the kitchen, lino the shower room, fit edging round the lounge floor and finish tidying up the painting I've already done.

I'm also contemplating buying a new front door as a uPVC one should cut down the communal hall sounds and mine is well past its best.

For all of this lot I'm budgeting £1500, with the bulk of it being the door. In theory, I can do the work over the bank holidays as I don't have the same ones off as TomBo.

Aside from wanting a new kitchen and shower room, everything else would be done this year.

Moving swiftly on, I've switched my alarm off and am looking forward to my long weekend 😃

    Thanks LW2G

I got tired reading it all back!

As always I remembered what else I was going to say after posting.

TomBo has ordered a new phone, should be here this week.

My pension paperwork arrived and I've had to call them a couple of times as they've messed things up; it's about 7 calls I've made to get this far. I can make partial transfers out. It's an absolute shambles of a provider.

Woke up earlier than normal and have been vegging on the sofa with my feet up.

The weather is wet and 9° but it feels cold. I've had my vanilla coffee 🤭

I've managed to log into my new pension, silly sods tied it in to my old closed pension log in details. Haven't found the expression of wishes form, couldn't when I was with them before, and I've emailed them asking for a posted version. I have spent too much time faffing already!
    - Figures added to my spreadsheet and it's a retirement age of 65.

My plan is to have various pensions I can start from my late 50's through to actual state pension age, together with savings.

TomBo is waiting to see when his phone will be delivered, then we can go out. Deli, M-alan, B-Shop and PAH are where we want to go.

Tomorrow I'm having the drains jetted and cleaned, make sure there's no problems due to the age of them.

I honestly don't know if we're staying or moving, but have mentally designed a new shower room and have kitchen ideas forming. As it's a galley kitchen, walking in would be:
    - Left side floor to ceiling cupboards, with hidden fridge, freezer, washing machine. White, high gloss units to avoid closing the room in.
    - Window wall straight ahead would be sink.
    - Right wall would be built-in cooker / hob and work top, doubling up as a breakfast bar.

All will become clear one day, for now it's good to have various options.

I ended up going out alone as TomBo decided to wait in for his deliveries.

Went to M-alan, got 3 gorgeous long cardigans, PJ bottoms, cropped jeans, leggings and smalls.  Spent £107.50.

Hightailed it up the county to the deli, picked up strawberry ice cream and raspberry ripple ice cream, Italian biscuits and crackers. Spent £31.

I've double checked my budget and should have ¹/3 of my wages spare each month, to save and make O/Ps.

Got my feet up and had cheese on toast. It's sunny outside now but I've spent my energy for the day.

Plans for the next three days include going through existing clothes for charity, putting away new clothes, dyeing hair, lashes and brows, plucking brows, general pamper, gardening and watching TV.
