Thanks Skinty, SH, SW, Chrystal and Atrixa

It seems only 'men' can do certain work, but that attitude is to be expected, although it irks me in this day and age as they talk about wanting changes, agree with my ideas, but won't do them as they've 'always done things this way'. I'm trying to save the company money by offering to do little jobs of things I've not done for years, so the ones with the right anatomy can be out earning the big money for them, again they agree, but don't let it happen; the person who is the right sex isn't interested. I'm not getting any extra for covering either!

TomBo is indifferent about starting his new job, same with every other one he's had, but that's just how he is.

Some of the coastal villages up here, wouldn't look out of place in the likes of Cornwall with the pastel colour properties, or if they're all white I could easily be walking round a Mediterranean village.

I've done a few hours in the garden, got all my spuds in and did some weeding, didn't have the energy to sow some seeds as it's warm and I've overdone it 🤭 I'll have to pop down again later to water everything.

Had fishcake sandwiches for lunch and I'll buy them again from the delivery guy.

    For now it's feet up.

  • I hope you are feeling ok today after overdoing it yesterday. It’s so easily done especially when the weather is nice. I hoovered and cut the grass and was shattered after I could hardly walk. You’d think I’d know better by now!

Thanks Skinty, I'm in a lot of pain, can barely walk too, but will be gardening in a bit as I want to get some root veg seeds in and I'll be watering this evening.

I doubt either of us will learn!

I did some more gardening yesterday, parsnips and first carrots are in, some weeding, watered both gardens.

Watered the gardens when I got home as I wouldn't have made it upstairs twice in one day, managed to enjoy early evening sun too.

I might try and do a little weeding when I get home after work, when it's nice of course. That way it's seed sowing and enjoying the patio on the weekends.

Sibling is back to constantly moaning about everything.

We had chicken wraps for tea, chocolate for pudding.

I've £118 in the bank, £106 is for the CF, 3 days until payday. Got a BH day off soon, which I'm looking forward to as I'm shattered.

    Thanks SH and Skinty

Temperature has dropped and it's supposed to be -3° at night this week. Rain came when I got home, so I didn't have to water the garden. The weather will be stable by the weekend and I can get my greens on the go.

I've been waiting for my new company pension log on details; this is turning into a saga as they have no record of me, but my company have shown proof of contributions. I've not changed my opinion of this pension company from when I had one with them before. If I didn't want the company portion I'd pull out and just manually add mine to the SIPP each month.

    CF DD came out today.

I've taken £10 out to pay for my bread tomorrow.

£1.83 in the bank, 2 days until payday.

    Thanks Skinty and FBB

TomBo had two good people filling in the paperwork and made the move happen. He's looking forward to finishing the current role.

Pension saga is still ongoing. They told me to be patient and quickly backtracked when I said my original email was sent a month before I called, yet nothing was done off the back of that.

It's rained, snowed, hailed, sun, blue sky, dark clouds, freezing wind, no wind, warmth and just had another bout of snow. We really do get all the seasons in one day up here 😊

I've got one tomato seedling beginning to appear, hopefully the others will pop up soon. No signs of the chilli seedings.

I'm snuggled in PJ's, dressing gown and a blanket. Might do a hot water bottle in a bit.

Had soup with chilli and cheese bread for tea.
