Well done on the surveys, and the fishnchips, yum. It is so great all the things you are doing. The garden sounds fantastic. Im getting ideas for my patio area but that will wait till next year when I can visit the shops.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

Opted for a kebab, as I've wanted one for ages now. Belly is very full!
Need to waddle around and half-heartedly pack the last of my stuff 🙈Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
I'm in!
Two hours it took the removal company to grab everything, drive over here and put it all in the lounge / bedroom and put my bed back together. Best £200 spent.
I'm hoping to have everything stashed away this afternoon and am half way through it.
My cat isn't to happy, but I've told her no more moves!
Think I'm really going to enjoy village life 😊

Happy New Home MFNot sure if I'm right but I seem to remember, from many years ago, that if you put butter on cats front paws they settle down whilst they're licking it off. May be worth a try anyway. (((hugs)))XX

Glad everything went smoothly with the final move. So exciting. You cat will soon settle in - just don't let it out too early.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thank you 😊
I may have done a bit too much yesterday, ended up falling asleep on the sofa whilst watching TV. (For clarity I only normally have N-Fl1x a load of films / programs on a harddrive and whatever I find on YT).
My cat did pop out, she got hungry. She is an indoor cat, as will any others be in the future. (Years ago I used to let cats out until one was deliberately killed.)
Woke up to a motorbike thundering along the road just after 5am. My home is on the main road so quite easy to build up speed heading through it. Only time I closed the three lounge windows was when watching TV, all the others remained open.
I've said hello to all bar one neighbour since I got the keys. Somehow there is a family in one of the ground floor flats, so I expect they will move on in a few years; the bottom flats are smaller.
Popped to the chippy last night and had donner, chips and cheese, was really good and a lot cheaper than I'm used to paying!
At some point this month I need to buy a fridge, that will go in the pantry.
Buying some garden tools tomorrow and the tree surgeon is popping over today to quote; doesn't seem enthusiastic or want my custom 🤨

Hurrah for new house. Well done on nice chippy. I hope you can get the window double glazed eventually to stop noise of motorbikes but it sounds lovely. I hope you had good weather and spent a bit of time in the garden. There is no place like home.Aiming for a minimal spend 20223

All windows are fully double glazed, the guy just rode like a **** as it's a great road for a bike and easy to get up to top speed before even hitting my village 🙈 Have been out in the garden to do a bit more, instructed tree surgeon to take two trees down and collected some tools today, plus a little more unpacking. Had a wonderful hot, hot shower; it's so nice having proper hot water. My phone internet isn't too good, so struggling to 'thank' and comment, but by the end of next week I should be all connected up with home internet 😁Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3

Good that you got a reasonable quote for the trees. I am sure it will help make it a more usable space. We are so glad we took our big tree down it has made the garden seem huge in comparison.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
